Can't believe July is almost over! Crazy. Yesterday was good minus a semi-raw dinner (bit it was still nutritious and vegan so I'm not harboring any guilt)
B: Green smoothie of apples cucumbers and bananas
    S: Peach flavored soft serve
L: Big green salad with mushrooms avos in a sweet balsamic dressing topped with pine nuts and pumpkin seeds + a slice of sunflower bread and zucchini hummus
S: Some super ripe fresh dates and a donut peach
    D: Semi-raw bean based salad

Also yesterday got to visit a new organic foods shop and cafe - was seriously impressed with the variety of products, I found stuff I'd never even seen in the UK! Picked up some goodies so breakfast today was Chia pudding - my first time trying it but it was so so SO good:

Made with almond milk, raisins, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, chopped bananas and cinnamon drizzled with some agave

I sure did weeks ago, so I think the candida thing is under control now as long as I stay away from certain things. But yeah, I don't know about high fruit right now, I had been doing that the last 26 days and I felt good at first but started feeling kind of neurotic and in my own world, worse over time, it didn't feel like detox anymore it just felt like it wasn't what my body wanted. I really thought that high fruit high greens no fats would be the way to go but it didn't seem to work as well as when I did a higher fat raw diet.

Anyways I think what I really needed was some fats. I also ate cooked food yesterday, I felt like, I felt better in the morning and more 'raw' just with the fats, even with the cooked food. Of course, cooked food kind of got me off track today, I had a cooked food binge in the evening, but that doesn't mean much to me, I'm just excited to start a new 30 day trial and this time I'm going to include fats. I'm also buying a juicer on Sunday, so I'm going to do a juice fast to start things off. Yup, I'm going to keep doing this until I feel better.
I'm glad you are finding what works for you. I too started getting crazy "highs" from eating mostly fruit and i didn't like it. I also agree that even though you ate "C" foods it's not the end of the world i even read somewhere that eating "C" grains is better(shocking i know!) for you in combination with a raw diet since it helps control your cravings and overall calorie intake. Low Fat Raw vegans seem to believe that eating tons of fruit to get 3000 calories a day is ok when it's only ok if you're being SUPER MAN active lol See you in the next challenge and limit your "C" foods intake and don't be afraid of the fats! Your brain loves them!

Nad- See last time i made my own chia pudding i didn't like it but i don't think i put any sweetner in it which could explain my dislike lol. I still have some chia seeds i'm gonna experiment with them again soon cause yours sounds delicious!

Yesterday was a good day nothing to complain about. I did my workout and packed my lunch as usual...bleh BORING!! LOL

B: Last 2 cookies and Banana Goji berry green smoothie( experimenting and it tasted like yummy viamin c tablets lol)
    S: Bing cherries
L: Kelp Noodle Spaghetti w/eggplant bacon onions(Reminded me of old scool spaghetti it was amazing! can't wait to make it w/ zucchini noodles)
    S: Bing Cherries
D: Rest of my salty caramel ice cream and walnuts which i realized were expired so now i'm throwing them out lol

Money is tight this week so when i go shopping i'm going to have to buy a few things non organic and keep my meals a little simple. I have lots of fruit left over from last week though like watermelon, the golden honeydew, plums and lots of bananas for smoothies so i'll mostly be buying greens, veggies, nuts, and dates I plan to make cauliflower popcorn this week though! No breads this time i'll be using collards again which i actually miss so i'm ok with that

I'm not super man active. =) I'm getting fitter too. It's too bad about my back though, I'd love to be back at running, that's when I experienced the MOST highs(like I was on top of the World, for the greater good). But hey, don't knock until you've tried it. ;) I didn't experience crazy sugar rushes either when I got enough sleep & water. I'd rather eat high carb, it's pretty tasty. Any time I eat a ton of fat, I get instant sever low mood. It sux mang. :/ I don't knock your lifestyle, try not to knock mine. We're all here for the same thing, better health. =)

The irony of it all is, I used to think it was fear of the fat too. Than I did some more research, don't be afraid of the CALORIES & Fruit Suga!!! xP

so I made the tofu today using blended up irish moss, and it's been in the fridge for about 4 hours. It still isn't as firm as I'd hoped. I thought it only took an hour to gel, so I'm wondering if I didn't use enough of it? I'm going to give it more time in the fridge...

I'm not knocking your diet or way of eating for you. I'm just knocking it for me and my body. I know there are plenty of ways to do raw and there's no right or wrong. But for me high fruit doesn't work. I do get plenty of sleep and drink crap tons of what and the highs never went away and lead to bad headaches. I don't think that's a way to be on a daily basis plus i'm not active enough to burn off the sugar high(i'm at work all day everyday). Proteins do the complete opposite to me compared to you I get steady energy and i get fuller a lot faster than when i eat fruits. I figure if this seems to be making my body happy then i'm gonna do it. Plus for my wallet eating high fruit was waaaay too expensive. And since i stopped restricting myself of proteins and introduced them back into my diet my body seems to be getting thinner and less bloaty compared to when i ate high fruit. I don't care what anyone says not everyone's body is the same so there is no one size fits all diet whether your a paleo, instincto, sproutarian, breatharian, fruitarian, LFRV, or just a normal trying to be balanced raw foodist you do what works for you and your lifestyle. I'm happy that your way of eating works for you and your lifestyle and congrats on the results it's given you! High Carb vs High protein doesn't matter! It's been proven that both ways are efficient and healthy if done correctly

Dani was talking to EscapeArtist and wasn't knocking anything - just saying what does and doesn't work for her and giving support to EscapeArtist.

I had a pint of juice for breakfast and lunch just now was sushi ...

bf said i should have taken photos but I was too keen to eat it before it went soggy but it did look good. It tasted amazing - especially the mock crab one.I have lots of ingredients left so i'll take photos another time.

Can't believe July is over! Yesterday was good despite dining out twice, had an especially yummy quinoa salad for dinner with carrots, celery, dried cranberries and grapes
Today wasn't 100% raw but still did well and not feeling sluggish etc.
    B: Green Smoothie
    S: Apple
L: Fattoush Salad and Hummus (semi raw)
    S: Pineapple juice
D: Dani's salty caramel crunch ice cream - can I just say this is by far the most amazing raw dish I've ever created. I love pralines and cream so when I read your recipe I just HAD to try it. I used alcohol free vanilla essence, agave, salt, then chopped up some date paste in my FP to create caramel flecks and some walnuts for crunch. Seriously DELICIOUS! I would've taken a picture but I was too excited and ate it all up I gave my mom some to taste and she couldn't believe it was raw or banana based.

Tomorrow marks the first day of Ramadan, this will be my first time fasting on raw! July's been great - thanks for all the help and support everyone :)

How does that work? Is it a full-on fast of water or juice or something else ... when I was growing up we didn't get multi-cultural education and so I just plain don't know. Actually ... if you answer the question, could you do it via message because otherwise we'll probably get told off for talking about religion!

Yesterday the husband found a recipe online for raw granola bars with raw cacao topping and insisted that he must have them. So I made them, and here's a pic of the results:
