    Hi guys,

I had a hard weekend but today is a new day and I'm back on track. Had a fruit smoothie this morning and plan on eating clean and raw for the remainder of the day (and thereafter). My body really feels icky when I go off plan. I do not think I'll be reintroducing any (or not much) cooked foods back into my diet after this month is over. I feel so much better completely raw.

I made raw pad Thai last night! It was amazing! My boyfriend woke me up at 2am because he was craving it again so badly. It made me refreshed and excited to try more raw recipes. The prep really bums me out on things. I have a horrible kitchen. I can barely juice apples in it without covering every inch of counter and making a huge mess with 10 minutes of clean up!

So, I'm super stoked about that. I also started Pilates again this weekend and plan on adding Zumba back into my life tonight. There is soccer tonight, but it is in the 90s and I'm not sure if I'm up for running for 90 minutes in that kind of heat. I should, because I love soccer. We will see.

I love reading about what you all eat. I am so intrigued by recipes and different food combinations than I'm used to.

I never even ate non-raw pad thai!!!

I have to make a quick choice of whether to eat now and then go to my last-minute hoop class or whether to not eat (I'm not really hungry) and pack bananas and watermelon. I can think it over while I wash my hair.

I don't watch the food all day but I'm usually home in the morning when it's sunniest and if not I'll just put a transparent mesh over the tray to keep out bugs/flies etc. I'm trying another batch of buckwheat crispies now and if they come out alright I may even attempt raw breads - exciting!

So yesterday's breakfast was soooo filling with a capital F! I think I may have overdone it with the buckwheat - note for next time less crispies more fruit lol.

Sipped on some lemonade sweetened with stevia and then I cut up a huge chunk of watermelon, threw it in the blender with some ice and lemon juice mint and stevia and made a great watermelon slushie. It was a huge batch even though I shared with my mom so that kept me going till lunch.

L: Strawberry and Spinach salad in a red onion sweet balsamic dressing + crudites and red pepper cashew cheeze +olives + one semi-raw bean based salad. My mom was very skeptical about the strawb salad but quickly ate her words after she tried it She also loved my raw cheeze and couldn't believe it was just cashews when I told her!

D: Dined out with friends at a polynesian restaurant, I ordered a DELICIOUS drink of strawberries, mangoes and coconut cream then a shrimp salad(minus the shrimp and plus avos) with hearts of palm and a javanese dressing - it was to die for. Not sure if the dressing was raw as I'm sure I tasted soy sauce in it but it tasted incredible! Definitely going to look for some hearts of palm and try to replicate.

Definitely one thing I don't miss about England when I'm away! Although it can get really swelteringly hot here sometimes.

So today i'm off my GS Cleanse and the past few days were great and last night i broke my cleanse by eating bananas and almond butter mash(1 sliced up banana 2 tbsp of almond butter)...it was amazing!! My body was craving it really bad and i tried to fight it off but i caved and right afterwards my body had a peace of mind to it like it wont want any more nuts for a while type of feeling so maybe i really needed it as i wasn't cravey the whole time until last night.

Today is the start of a new eating lifestyle though and i'm excited! I'm gonna keep it simple for the next 30 days (August Challenge Anyone?) and i've written out a 10 minute intense workout plan for me to do 3 days a week along with 1 day of cardio and 1 yoga day. I get bored easily which leads to no motivation so i'm trying to keep it fun. I'm going to be eating more fruits in my diet since i usually try to avoid them like the plague as i feel they are candy and candy is bad lol but i've read so many benefits of eating more fruits. I also did research on our cousin primates and their eating style.I figured these our living ancestors and we should mimic them as much as possible. They are clearly much stronger than we are, with no huge weight or heath related problems like diabetes and they eat lots of fruit and veggies and every now and then termites lol which i'll stick with nuts please :)

    Meal Game Plan

    B: Banana Blueberry GS w/spinach & romaine
    S:Red Cherries
L: Nori Rolls With cauliflower carrot, spinach, cucumber and i'm trying to find a jalapeno sauce to make for it
    S:watermelon
D: More veggie sushi at a restaurant for my sisters birthday hopefully they can make it without the rice?

Just wanted to stop by and see how everyone was doing. I made a wonderful raw mushroom pasta last night and my husband shared it with me. He even said it was "not as bad as he thought it would be" :) I have some of it left over for lunch today. I have also been making sure to drink a raw vegan protein shake every day because I don't think that you can really get enough protein from raw foods alone if you are active and weight train. I require about 80 g protein a day (we are all supposed to have 0.8 g/kg of lean body mass, but for those people who train you need 0.8 g/lb lean body mass). So if you weigh 100 lbs and you work out alot you need 80 g of protein a day. So if you are still ravenously hungry look into raw meal or another raw vegan protein powder, and make a shake every day with almond milk and a banana. It works wonders.

Well sushi night didn't go as planned with my sister but honestly no guilt here, at least it was somewhat raw lol. But all that matters is i'm not gonna let this throw me off track cause tomorrow i'll go back to my normal ways i don't miss eating those old kinds of foods anyways. I find it interesting that everyone got super sleepy after eating whereas i'm full of energy and wide awake? Worse than that super high when i eat a lot of fruits..hmm

Well can't wait to eat a ton of fruit so i can keep detoxing this off lol Good Night!

today was a good day. for lunch we had collard wraps with raw gourmet chocolate for dessert, and for dinner we dehydrated spinach, onions, zucchini, peppers and mushrooms for a couple of hours and then topped them with nama shoyu and five-spice. omg, so good!

Hey everyone, today was a better day. Ate pretty much on plan. Made a delicious beet, banana and strawberry smoothie for dinner. Yum! I love reading the menu plans on this thread. You ladies are so creative! This weekend I'm buying a food processor. I'm ready to try more "adventurous" recipes. :0)

    Hey guys!

The rest of yesterday was alright:

S: Banana Soft Serve - made this for the first time and OMG was it incredible. I topped with crushed walnuts - so delicious! I felt a bit gluttonous eating it all by myself but it was just SO good! Perhaps a little too heavy for a snack though.
L: Large green salad with avos and lemon vinagrette + crudites and guacamole +red pepper cheeze for dipping
    S: Some date paste +cashews
D: Went to the mall and had a berry and lemon smoothie from a juice bar - i asked for no sugar but it clearly was loaded with something artificial because I got a pounding headache and felt sick about 10 minutes after having it felt horrible, I came straight home and went to bed.

Today I'll be keeping it simple, I had a few non-raw slip-ups yesterday which I think may be the cause of my funny stomach today.
Breakfast was a small bowl of honeydew melon, might just sip on juices/smoothies for the rest of the day.
