you were quite heavy on the nuts yesterday so that might account for your digestion ... it all sounds very delicious :)

Same here! I start off awesome with my day and then when i get home i'm hungry but my body isn't craving anything in particular so i just eat a variety of goodies until i'm full and it's always a little bit of everything and i feel like i'm over eating or "binging". Just last night i had a Larabar some onion bread and guacamole and pumpkin seeds and raisins lol all over the place.

I haven't posted lately, but noticed that since it's been so hot here I haven't craved the nuts as much. I have only wanted fruit for breakfast the last few days (watermelon, cherries, grapes, and bananas)-- very refreshing!

Dani - I think I see it as "binging" because it's the kind of feeling I'd get when I was on a diet and not eating enough. One of the biggest adjustments with raw is realising that you will inevitably eat more because your food is digested so much quicker - it's weird but makes sense! Plus maybe it'll shut people up who say I "don't eat"

Anyways, today has been nice and light as intended :)
B: Green smoothie (as mentioned earlier)
S: JM's Detox Juice (which I made in a flask and took with me shopping)
L: Gingerbread nakd bar which I devoured in a changing room because I was starving! Then I grabbed a 5-a-day juice from a Boost Juice Bar at the mall: juice of 2 oranges, 2 apple, 3 carrots, celery sticks, beetroot + a detox booster (chlorella, barleygrass, sprouted flaxseeds, inulin, aloe vera, artichoke, grapeseed, purple corn) - this was extortionately priced of course, but the regular size was pretty big so I suppose the value wasn't too bad. Plus did I mention it was DELICIOUS? Held me over for the rest of my shopping trip till I got home.
D: Zucchini pasta with raw marinara and a green side salad with mushrooms

Anyways I'm exhausted and have to get up super early to catch my flight tomorrow! Not sure how I'll manage with gross plane food but will stock up on fruit and nakd bars :)

Day 12 was a yummy too much nuts day :)

    B:Green Smoothie
    S: 2 brownie fudge bites
    L: 4 lettuce wraps/tacos w/ raw pepper jack cheeze,corn salsa, and tomatoes
S: 2 more brownie fudge bites
    D: Banana

Since i was prepping these new foods i did taste test a lot which i feel affected my eating times and what not but its was only a few nibbles! I didn't plan to eat those brownie bites but my co workers tried them loved them but they were too rich for them..they were so yummy and filling in my eyes but i put the rest of the mix in the freezer to save for later as i really don't want to keep eating soo much sweets. My cheeze was awesome!!! And my co workers were surprised at how much it tasted like real cheese..even i was excited as pepper jack is my favorite cheese ever!!!

But i've noticed i looked terrible today my waist line is bigger my face looks horrible and i don't know why?? So after this week starting sunday i'm going on a back to school cleanse to really allow my body the rest and detox time it needs and hopefully get rid of that extra inch of bloating i got today cause there's no way i gained an inch of fat in 2 days lol

    Day 11
Felt pretty good and energetic in the morning, feel very tired now!

I must still be detoxing, however lightly, because while I'm not getting a fever or anything like last time, I don't feel as clear and bright and shiney as the end of the last raw trial. I am breaking out though, that's a good sign.

So far i've eaten only some BEAUTIFUL local strawberries!!! (They tasted like less-sweet jam and were the same texture) half of a watermelon and green juice.

Sitting at my desk eating breakfast - half a large honeydew melon - waiting for the day to start.

Feeling a bit of an ache from the leg hooping and didn't wake up as early as I normally do but not feeling too tired. I guess I just slept really well. We changed our mattress over from the bed in the spare room and that seems to have made for better sleeping with less back pain!

Every evening my bf juices me some oranges. Last night I asked for a 1/4 lemon in with the oranges and it was very good.

what a sweet thing, for your bf to juice for you each evening! The lemon idea sounds good, going to try that!

Ever since I found that getting citrus zest on my skin brings me out in a weepy, rash he's been my official citrus juicer

The lemon really made a world of difference to the flavour. I am having to work at not drinking my juices too fast though. 1/2 litre of water in advance of the juice seems to work well ... I leave a gap between the water and the juice.

For lunch I have had sweetcorn, avo and tomatoes. I forgot my salad dressing and greens but it was nice anyway.

Default New to RFT apologize in advance post will be kind of long

    Greetings my fellow rawfoodtalkers,
I was so glad to see that this forum and challenge was accessible throughout the months as they go by therefore giving me the opportunity to jump right in once I get my blendtec for my birthday. Please bear with me as I testify as to what has inspired me to start a raw lifestyle. I lost my very best friend to colon cancer at the age of 31 2 years ago. My family's generational curse is full of diseases that are heredity consist of high cholesterol high blood pressure heart disease & diabetes. I am soon to be 34 should my Creator choose to extend my life another 6 days.My recent doctor visit revealed how I have gained a whopping 20 pounds in 5 months making my current weight 190 which is OBESE for my height and bone structure. My blood pressure was also very high hence me feeling like the family curse is about to try and invade my body and my doctor is waiting for a pattern of it being high before she decides whether or not i will be medicated for it. I shared with her how i am not happy, always lethargic and sluggish. I tell her about me getting rady to transition over to the raw side of eating by juicing and such and she simply states THAT will be EXPENSIVE. I am a firm believer that Our Creator allows us to access information and encounter people for reasons that may be unbeknownst to us at the time yet purely beneficial to us and others should we operate by faith and utilize/maximize what we have learned from such encounters and resources by applying the lessons learned to our lives. Shortly after I lost my bestie I was living in a homeless shelter and was somehow blessed with a book by Jordan Rubin entitled The Maker's Diet. However since I had just lost her to cancer I could not study the whole book for fear of guilt trying to understand WHY I came across it after her death as opposed to before thinking that the information could have helped her sustain her life she left behind 2 children. Needless to say me knowing Our Creator like I do I got past that it took a while but now I am ready to embrace this change of lifestyle knowing that HE had a reason for me coming into this knowledge. As if things don't happen for a reason right I go into The vitamin shoppe to get an organic 14 day cleanse by Brenda C Watson and they just happen to have Jordan rubin's latest book The Raw Truth I instantly want to purchase it and guess what it's FREE! I am on day 12 of the cleanse I purchase my Blendec on Friday and I am so excited to be joining you all on this journey. In Him Mrz.Williamz

There is a recipe on how to make your own and i plan on doing that because it yeilds 1/2 a gallons worth and i really love kimchi so i figured it would last a while. I share that with you soon!

As far as the lemon pudding the recipe was from ani phyo's dessert book and it was:
    1/3 cup raw cashews
    2 bananas
    1-2 lemons juiced
2 tbsp agave nectar( I used 1 tbsp of raw honey)
Added cashews to a food processor and ground them into a powder then i added the other ingredients and let the processor run until it was nice and smooth.

Now i must say because i didn't eat it right away and i let it sit over night so it did darken in color( because of the bananas i'm sure but still a creamy tan color) and the lemon flavor was much stronger the next day which i liked since at first is was a light lemon flavor lol It was super yummy and easy to make. It's meant to be a filling for cupcakes which i'll be making when my roommate comes home. He loves lemon flavored anything lol

Teriyaki Kelp Noodles from Ani Phyo's Raw Essentials book:

1/2 bag of Sea tangles Kelp noodles rinsed
a mixture of your favorite stir fry veggies(mushrooms, mung bean sprouts, carrots, green and red pepper, onions, snap peas..etc.)

    Sauce:
    3 tbsp EVOO
2 tbsp of Nama Shoyu or Bragg Liquid aminos(i only used 1tbsp of braggs as it's really strong)
3 tbsp of agave( i used 2tbsp of honey)
    1 tbsp ACV
1tbsp of Fresh grated ginger(i used 1/2 tbsp of ginger powder)
1tsp of minced garlic( i used a couple sprinkles of garlic powder and onion powder)

whisk all the ingredients together in a bowl and pour on top of your noodles and veggies let it soak in for 20mins or enjoy immediately. Since i made it early this morning for lunch the noodles and veggies had time to marinate in the sauce and was super yummy!
Thank you!!!!! Those recipes sound SUPER DUPER YUMMY!!!! I can't wait to try 'em!
