Default Breville Fountain Compact vs. Breville 800JEXL Elite?

    Hello, everyone!

I am fairly new to the juicing scene, having picked up a Breville Juice Fountain about six months back to help me get more fruits and vegetables into my life. I had no idea when I got started that I would soon be using it every day! My diet and life have definitely changed for the better.

The Breville Juice Fountain was my choice for a starter juicer and it's done well. Now I'm getting ready to upgrade my juicer and give away the original as a gift, hopefully starting the craze among family and friends.

I have few complaints about the Breville Juice Fountain, but I've noticed that the pulp I get from it is still damp. Likewise, there's no dedicated pulp container, which adds on to the cleaning time. Does anyone have an Elite, and can you tell me anything about it? Is it worth it to get an Elite versus another Juice Fountain? Is there another juicer I should be considering, and why?

I juice both fruit and vegetables regularly, generally once a day. My usual load consists of whole apples, pears, pineapple, carrots, peppers, and onion, with some other things thrown in as they strike my fancy. I notice having a pretty hard time sometimes cleaning the mesh filter on the Juice Fountain, but I haven't had any performance issues with it.

I'm not very familiar with the differences between juicers, though, so it's very possible there's something I'm missing here. That's why I figured I would ask the experts here at Raw Food Talk.

    Thanks!

    S. D.
