Default Green Smoothie recipes for 12 month old plz!

    Hi friends,

So my baby is LOVING his green smoothies and I am wanting to expand his palette a little...what other things can I slowly introduce to him?

So far his smoothies have been coconut water, spinach, banana, blueberries, strawberries and other various fruits.

I'm not sure about these ingredients:
    Bee pollen?
    Spirulina?
    Chlorella?
    Rejuvelac??
    Maca?

What about starting him on Kale or Swiss chard??

Sorry if these are dumb questions but this is my first and I'm just not sure when/or how to incorporate super foods...or should I just stick with whole/simple foods for now??

Also, I saw a green recipe with hemp seeds but they are so expensive! Any other suggestions on what seeds to give him that are inexpensive?

Also, what about blending sprouts too???

    Thanks for your help!

getting a taste for greens early on is good but I have no idea about spirulina for example.

Rejuvelac is or can be mildly alcoholic so you may want to restrict that - except in so far as gripe water is alcoholic and helps with colic etc ...so maybe in that instance rejuvelac would be better.

I wouldn't do the bee pollen until he is two year old, just to be on the safe side.

The rest of the ingredient seem fine

You should add hemp seed, they are rich in Omega 3/6. Anyway, you could cut in other area to be able to use it. They have been a life saver for my daughter. They are so beneficial.

What do you guys suggest the dosage should be for spirulina, chlorella and maca? He can drink 2 4-5oz smoothies a day.
Per 4 oz smoothie 1/2 a teaspoon maybe?

Maybe, i would do just a little pinch to help with the transition and get use to it.

When i started to add greens in my daughter smoothie, her teeth came up quite fast. She was in agony and i had to cut down with it. She would only take milk and i had to use a dropper because she couldn't sip her bottle. So learn to relax and listen to your guidance versus your fear. I went into fear that she wouldn't have enough nutrient.

Just a little bit of those supplement. Maca has a strong taste and so is chlorella. Chlorella is a good move to put in the smoothie, it has a high content of b12 that is absorbeable by human.

Hemp seeds are safe and it is anti-hallogene. It is such a rich food with essential nutrient for the brain developpment.

Don't forget coconut water and you can make a coconut cream with the meat. Coconut water/milk is the closest to the mother milk for what i read.

I do the local coconut water we have here in Florida...not too comfortable with Thai's for now b/c of all the chems they are dipped in.

I've slowly worked up to a 1/2 a teaspoon of my spirulina/chlorella/barley greens blends...so far so good, he's sucking them down! :)
