Default My raw baby is here!

Melody Rose was born on 1-21-10 at 9:21 AM at home in the water after a peaceful although a bit longer than usual labor (for me). She is our 4th daughter (we also have 3 boys) and we are so in love with her already!

From a raw perspective this is the best part - she weighed 9 lbs. 4 oz., was 22 1/2 inches long, and had a 15 inch head! She is my biggest baby by far, and I am so glad to have a great testimony of the quality of my raw diet to share with people now!

She's doing great so far, I'm focusing on her only right now to get breastfeeding off to a good start (trying to avoid low milk supply issues as I've shared about here before). I plan to share some pictures of me at 9 months pregnant, the baby, and me after pregnancy when I can.

Thanks for everyone's prayers and support!

Oh CONGRATULATIONS!!! How beautiful. This hits so close to home for me. We just had our 4th daughter at home in the water very peacefully and we also have 3 boys as well. Our baby girl is only 2 1/2 months old and I remember her birth so clearly, it was incredible. I am so happy for you! Enjoy that baby. I hope that you do well with nursing and are able to rest well.

When you get a minute how old are your other children? Where do you live?

I love your sign in name, by the way.

Congrats again. Babies are so precious!!

Congratulations! What an awesome report to be 11 lbs under you prepregnancy weight right after delivery. These sort of posts are so inspiring to me(and my struggles with raw) as I enter the second half of my pregnancy.

Congratulations! Melody Rose is a lovely name. That is the middle name I gave my daughter. She loves it! I'm sure your daughter will to.

Many blessings to you and yours.

Thanks so much to everyone for your warm wishes and congratulations. We're doing great, having a new baby never gets old even when it's #7! She is wonderful and I love her so much. I'm recovering quickly and feel great due to the raw diet, I'm so glad I stuck with it last year and am looking forward to my health improving even more in 2010!
