    Default Red Cabbage Sprouts

I think I shall grow these to their seed leaves. Most sprouts I eat before they get much leaf but these look pretty and if they taste like red cabbage then they'll be yummy.

Will start them off later when my bf has finished cooking his meal.

they'd be gorgeous on a salad!

One thing I've been worried about is eating too much cabbage family due to the goitregenic issue....wonder if sprouts are different from the mature plant?

I don't know anything about that condition but probably Mr Raw would be able to tell you the difference between the immature sprout and the mature plant ...

The threat of goiter from cabbage family foods is exaggerated and promoted by the drug companies and purveyors of prepared and "balanced" foods.

If you eat ONLY broccoli, cabbagean related sprouts you might have problems [ and then only if you have a family thyroid condition]

Most people also eat fruit and nuts and greens and other veggies......

I worked in pharmaceuticals for years.....
