    Default School Lunches

    Hey guys!
I'm pretty new to raw but I do enjoy it very much. I was just wondering what you all might bring to school to eat. Today I brought a container with fresh fruit and a tiny piece of raw brownie for me and my boyfriend to share. I usually bring in a green smoothie but they're getting old and I can never finish them but forget about them and they end up going bad after a few days. Anyway, what are some of the things you guys bring and do you like to switch it up every day or are you more of a routine person? Thanks!
with every ending, there is a beginning.......though I may feel like I'm losing, I am clearly winning

I like having salads a lot, usually 2 grated carrots, some kale, chopped broccoli, chopped apple, raisins, sunflower seeds or pepitas, olive oil, lemon juice, and some pink salt.
    I also like this salad.
Or raw mac and cheese. I once brought zucchini pasta, and that worked out well.

Oh, and I love marinated veggies too! I once brought asian style broccoli and carrots, and had that with cauliflower rice and ginger eggplant slices.

I've taken juice with me twice and had that, but I prefer being able to eat something rather than drink..

Seed milk and seed cheese, seed yogurt works too. It's great because you soak the seeds overnight, in the morning quick make them up and you let them ferment for about 4 hours before you eat them anyway, so you make them around 7-8am and they're ready to go by lunch time. You could also make some pretty crazy veggie dips. Consider guacamole, humus, you can use brewers yeast to get like a cheesy flavor and make a seed cheese dip.
If you have a dehydrator you can make raw bread from sprouted grains

You can also make crackers in this manner, just dry it out more and make it thinner. From there you can make sandwhiches with the seed cheese and maybe some lettuce or fruit or something (idk man, get creative). WIth the cracker you can combine them with the seed cheese or any other kind of dip you can make. You can also make raw vegan pizza bites or raw vegan BBQ meatballs, both last a good bit...

Look around, there are some pretty crazy recipes. You'll probably end up impresssing your friends with this kinda stuff too. I know when I first made seed cheese with a friend of mine we were both so excited we've been making fun stuff like this as often as we can. It's really alot of fun XD

I'd usually grab whole fruits and veggies cuz i'm always in a hurry, things like apples, bananas, pears, peaches, and avocados, baby carrots etc.
You can leave the more complex recipes for when you get back home, I'd crave raw sushis and make a batch to eat while watching my favorite tv shows
    Hope that helps!

I always bring a bag of mixed nuts and dried fruit around for snacks in case I get tempted to buy something non-raw! But I make a big batch of raw curry often and that goes well. brownies, cookies, slices etc travel well. Salads of course! And my (weird, but kinda good) current obsession is sprouted mung beans, lentils and chickpeas with mashed avocado and cashew cheese. All together in a bowl or container!

A really cool wrap that I love are cucumber wraps. I peel a cucumber and then cut in half and then core the middle of the cucumber halves. Then I stuff it with diced veggies (like red peppers, mushrooms, onion, carrots, and avocado) mixed with hummus or your favorite dressing.
Yummmmyyyy!!! and it's super quick if you have extra cut up veggies on hand. perfect to make the night before and keep in a lunchbox :)
