Default Traveling I40W Cross country to LA need RAW goodness

Headed west on I40 should be crossing through TX, NM, AZ and into CA. Will detour a bit for a trip to the Grand Canyon otherwise staying the course to CA and back. Please offer up your favorite RAW Restaurants. Vegetarian/ Vegan spots with a great selction of RAW goodness on the menu will be fine too.

    Thanks a bunch!

It is, therefore, evident that it is possible to cure by foods, aliments and fruits; but as today the science of medicine is imperfect, this fact is not yet fully grasped. When the science of medicine reaches perfection, treatment will be given by foods, aliments, fragrant fruits and vegetables, and by various waters, hot and cold in temperature.

I don't know if this might be useful to you -- or if you'll be in the Phoenix area,, but just in case - here's a video talking about a great place to get organic produce in Phoenix. The info's at the 1:25 mark. Have a wonderful trip! *Ü*

Sounds like an awesome time! Topanga is GREAT and yes, Phoenix... try Scottsdale if/when you get a chance. "Almost" willing to move there myself except for two things ~ incredible summer heat and, it's FLAT!!!

    Maybe next time around eh?

I just spent a week in Prescott Arizona (we went on a road trip there from Northern Cal)... there is a FANTASTIC natural foods store there called New Frontier Market that sells a ton of raw stuff (all nicely labeled) and also sells premade raw dishes in their deli section... we feasted on raw lasagne and raw zucchini hummus, yum! On our way home, we found a great looking store in Bakersfield called Lassen's which supposedly has a great selection of raw, but unfortunately they were closed on Sunday when we went there. So we ended up at a Target where I bought snow peas and celery and carrots and avocados and fresh salsa. Aside from those ideas, my general strategy when traveling is to look for a Whole Foods, or just do a google search on my cell phone for "raw foods" in whatever area we happen to be in. You'll do just fine.. it's easier than you think!
