if you cut the plant stalks just before they reach this stage then do the up ended in a paper bag thing I mentioned before then you don't lose as much - if any - of the seed.
After I get more used to it then I might trust myself to do this, but for now I wouldn't be able to tell what the proper stage to do that would be.
When you hang them upside down in a bundle, how do you keep them above the bag? Tie the bundle to something above it?

Put the tops inside the bag, loosely tie the bag around the stalks and use the ends of that string to hang the whole thing up. I will try to take a picture of something thusly hanging up over the weekend. Otherwise look in an old gardening book and there will probably be a diagram.

Okay, thank you. I'm pretty sure I can figure it out now, but if you posted a picture sometime that would be nice too.

I really like the favor and texture of flax micro greens. So far I just eat the greens. I haven't had much luck juicing them. They really gum up the works of my manual juicer.I don't know about those, but radish and mustard sprouts have a nice little kick to them!
edit:I did a search on sprouting dill and I did find some info over at sprout people.

I'll be trying that with the flax seeds. I'm not having luck sprouting them but after looking into it see why. Some of them started to sprout but they don't seem to be getting anywhere. I need to be growing them like a microgreen instead.
At least I have some alfalfa and azuki beans that are pretty much done.
Interested to hear about sprout flavours such as onion/garlic/herbs/mustard. It would be interesting to add a stronger flavour to salads or other meals.

Let me know if you have any trouble with my method. I can put together a quick video if I need to.

Feeling absolutely amazing today and the world looks simply incredible through my eyes, it is like l am in heaven, + the mind is on fire. l feel l could look at the sky all day in contemplation and bordom is not humanly possible. When you live of the awesome juices life becomes full of pure delight. Everything around me looks magical and spiritual. The world is very different when you live on the sprouts.
Some of my sprouts greening under in-direct light. Currently l having three big jars a day alone with a tray of grass and a tray of other microgreens. When the weather gets warmer l will move more towards microgreens. Even when l consume 24 oz of sprout juice in a sitting followed by various algaes, l never ever feel any nausia, but l do suffer terrible cracks in my right hand...the cracks get so painful that l can't hold a pen or use my right hand (my hand glows with pain)....growing sprouts with only one hand is a real tough job and going to the toilet is a nightmare when l need to use my right hand, and so is getting dressed, but the detox goes away after about three days. My main detox has always been split hands, and l always need to use gloves when planting microgreens to avoid infections when the hands are split all over.
Red clover, broccoli, fenugreek

l use the jars at the back and put out new sprouts for greening in the front row, and then move them all back a row each day until they reach the back row ready for juicing. The metal racks stay out in the yard all through the year, and the wooden racks stay in darkness in the shed all year long.
When the summer comes along l will put them in the bushes during the day time.

Clover, fenugreek, broccoli and grass juice are very heavy detoxers, and l am having ample lots of all of these juices at the moment. l really enjoy the sprouts that are rich in sulphur, they really add a bite to the juice. Need to get some radish seeds to sprout soon.
l juice one jar at a time, then drink. Then juice another jar, then drink etc.
MT: do you get cracked hands also?

I turned a friend at work on to radish sprouts and she is absolutely addicted to them. Seems like they are the only sprout she wants to mess with.

My mother is growing radish at the moment. She is very keen on sprouting and raw but is not more than 60-70% I think. She also has some alfalfa seeds bur only wants to try one seed at a time for now.

My main detox has always been split hands
In my experience detox only shows throught the skin when the other organs of elimination (colon, liver, kidneys) are overloaded. I found that cleansing each of the above organs prevented me from getting most detox symptoms and nothing happened to my skin. The lungs also help with detox, but there's only so much they can do - deep breathing and cardio exercise both help a lot, though.

Kale sprouts are very rich in sulphur, and I've been thinking of trying some soon.

My organs of elimination aren't so good, that's why my skin is often in quite bad shape. But my organs are getting much better with the juice therapy and my skin is improving steadily...but still a long way to go. Despite the diet l eat, most people have clearer better skin than me, but l am slowly getting that wonderful raw look, but still lots of blotches because of my underactive organs, but the blotches are much much less than what they were. Healing will take a long time for me, but it IS happening. l feel good, but l am so damaged inside, and all the nasty growth things l feel in the back of my lungs seems to be going away. My family's health history reads like a disaster zone. l feel that if l didn't do this diet l would be very close to dead now, my body was giving up and couldn't go on. l have recovered so remarkably that my mind is blown, and l can work day and night, but l still have a long way to go. Detox and healing takes up to seven years.
But all that being said, l have knocked years of aging off my life. l once looked like a tired old man of almost 50, but now l can pass for 30 or slightly younger. This sprout diet has given me a youthful look because of the sprouts and most potent anti-aging foods called algaes. l can't stop looking at myself in the mirror because l am stunned by what l see...l see this young guy now. My skin is tight, my skin is 10,000% improved, my energy is 10,000% improved, my mind is 100,000% improved. l have reversed my aging so much that it is incredible and healing is well on it's way, but l still have a long way to go before my insides are fixed. My mind was once so dull that l thought l had dementia...l would drive in the car and forget where l was going, and new learning was impossible, now my mind is amazing, and it's getting better and better. That's another thing...if you want a sharp mind...ditch the concentrated fats like nuts and seeds and sprout them instead, boy oh boy that sends the mind to the moon. l once couldn't walk 5 steps without almost passing out, l couldn't bend over without almost passing out,,,now l can walk fast up steep hills effortlessly and almost roll up them. My once brittle bones are strong again and l am a new man, but not half the man l am going to be in another 5 years.
So many raw fooders eat such ordinary diets (fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, dehydrated foods, blended foods) and thrive and look great, but l would never be able to look so good or heal on such foods...for me l needed the heavy artillary....the best foods that could be found on Earth. l am so lucky l learned about the sprouts all those years ago.
