finding truly raw food in shops is hard hard hard. I went into Wild Oats just off Whiteladies road and they didn't even get the concept of raw! that was about 5 years ago now so maybe they have caught up.

Very many things that you think are raw aren't ... even if they say raw on the packaging. It's very frustrating.

Foraging in Bristol is good though. Lots of fresh veggies and fruits. I also have a small veg plot.

The Organic Supermarket in St. Werburghs is worth a visit but they don't have a raw food section either.

I am not the best example of a raw foodist in the world ... I may not be the worst but I am pretty hopeless! I will say though that I always feel my most alive when I am eating raw so it ought to be a no-brainer really.

Anna Middleton is over in your direction ... look her up online.

    Happy May Day!!

I only got a couple of hours of sleep last night.....yikes, but a green smoothie perked me up. I have a longs day ahead of me working!

    My goals this month-

Keep mono eating lots of fruit. It is wonderfully easy and gives me great strength and energy.

To keep myself well stocked with my own salad dressing so I dont use bottled crap.

To try two recipes a week, that seems reasonable, doesn't it?

To make the effort to get filtered water.

To hang out here and bug you guys........

To get my greens in twice a day.

I'm off to a good start!!!
I trudge the road of happy destiny in the sunlight of the spirit!

I'm in! I've been raw-curious for ages...the fact that I've been registered on this board for years proves that. But I've never made it past a month. After a really, really tough year (which included a miscarriage and the loss of two very dear family members, my beautiful young cousin and her infant daughter), I'm ready for spring to renew the world AND my body.

    Hello All,

I will join this month challenge again I have been raw for 5 month now and see this challenge as a nice conversation and see what other people are eating during the day.

The past two month's I did not join the challenge because I have been busy with my mother in law that have been diagnosed with cancer, I will do my best to check the forum on a daily base again.

    Take care,

    Mark

I tried going all raw for awhile and really loved it but my Aunt and my Uncle who I was living with thought I was crazy and even tried to get me checked out by a doctor; Not the support I wanted. I am all in and ready to go all raw again. I have been a Vegetarian for over two years now and on and off vegan. My goal is to clear up my skin and just be as healthy as possible. I Know I can do this with support from others who will go through the same things.

feeling slightly odd this morning. I think I ate too much cabbage yesterday ... maybe! Today I feel like I just want fruit.

Strawberries are good. I have almost finished the first punnet.
