    Default Puffy Face

    Hi everyone,

I've just started a raw vegan diet and feel amazing, full of energy and less bloated everywhere except for my face. It seems really puffy especially around the jawline

Seeing as I'm only in my first week of eating raw vegan, I'm wondering if it's just a detox symptom or whether I am maybe eating too much fruit? (I have found in the past when I eat a high carb diet, I get a puffy face so have previously been on low carb diets.. but that was with bread and grains etc. too)

    An average day eating is:
B: 1 apple, 1 cup raspberries, huge bunch of greens, half a lime (all juiced)
    S: 1 big apple
L: big salad (mixed greens, tomatoes, grated carrot, few green olives and sundried tomatoes, a sprinkle of slivered almonds and 1/4 of an avocado… with 1tbsp olive oil/flax oil for dressing) + salt and pepper
S: 1 large carrot with small handful of almonds/walnuts/peanuts
D: another big salad similar to my lunch

I drink at least 4 litres of water a day.. I only add minimal natural sea salt to my salads and exercise regularly including yoga and hour long runs 4 x week.

If anyone has any suggestions or ideas about my ugly puff I'd love to hear from you haha

Two apples is not a lot of fruit :) But could be too much for you, who knows, you could experiment a bit and find out.

Perhaps its your lymph glands getting puffy from the detox.

Thanks guys! I guess I'll just keep going the way I am and see if it dies down over the next few weeks.

My guess is more the salt from the green olives and sea salt, rather than fruit. Not to say that you should go salt free, but that might have just been too much for you that day.
