    Default Raw Bread

I'm seriously having a hard time giving up bread. Its just because I find it so filling and safisfying. Is there any Raw alternatives I can buy or even make myself?

I feel if I have a healthier alternative to bread then everything would be mcuh easier.

    Hi James,

I am thoroughly enjoying my homemade flax crackers. They are not crunchy--they are pretty soft and pliable and are AMAZING for avocado sandwhiches, my personal favorite.

    It is just this recipe:
    2 cups flax seeks
    3 cups water
    pinch sea salt

Grind/process flax seeds. Mix with water and let gel for 30 minutes. Spread on dehydrator sheets. Dehydrate at 105 degrees for 12-20 hours, then flip them over.

I tripled the recipe and added a little more salt and a little bit of agave nectar. They are SOOOO good and simple.

I am very lucky, i can buy an essene bread totally raw. There is a woman that makes that.

The good news, you can google it and order on line. Very expensive.

The other good news, Allisa has great recipe in her new book. Juliano has also great raw bread recipe in his book.

You need to be easy on yourself and not be so hard. If you have so much attachment to this bread, eat it without guilt and eat it with telling yourself story, you will give that up on your own.

In the mid time, drink green smoothies. They heal addiction.

Bread plug your system, so make sure to consume citrus fruit (on empty stomach) to clear this out. Visit Storm website and see what he has to say about bread.

Learn to make Kale chips, they are so satisfying and hit the spot.

You will see, you will wonder how on earth it was a struggle for you to give that up.

You can consider to commit for 30 days only of 100% raw food. You may be supprise how much your craving for bread might heal.

    All the best!

Again great suggestions. I'm going to have to buy a dehydrator. Everyone is banging on about them on youtube. Don't they kill the emzymes tho?

actually that bun looks so good I really wish I had a dehydrator so I could try it.
Can't justify a dehydrator on just a picture of one burger bun though

not above 125F. I typically don't go more then 105F, for bread, you need to cranked up the heat a bit and then set it down. I saw this from a DVD of dr. Cousens's wife. She does that for her bread i beleive the first couple hours.

Dehydrator will help to transition. I love Alissa's baguel recipe. It is like the real deal but better.

I bet if you go on youtub, you could find free recipe for raw bread.

My dehydrator's set at 105° and it's my understanding this low temperature (under 115-118) leaves the enzymes alive and intact.

I'm making a first time recipe for me today, Manna Bread. It has sprouted: wheat, oats & quinoa in it - I'll let you know how it tastes when it's done. *Ü*

What exactly do dehydrators do? Do they cook the food or somehow drain the moisture out?

I've been looking on amazon.co.uk and they're actually suprisingly cheap. I thought they'd be in the £100+ range.

Dehydrators dry food without necessarily heating the food much.

My favorite bread is onion bread :)

Equal amounts ground flax and sunflower seed
    3-4 large SWEET onions
    some olive oil
    couple cloves of garlic
salt or braggs or some such

mix in food processor. dehydrate until you can flip, then dehydrate til desired crunchiness. Can be flexible or crisp.
