Hello from the holler in TN
Howdy y'all or so they say down here in the Holler. I live on 100 acres in middle TN with my best friend Tony http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...thheart.gifand at the moment 5 of our 7 kids. Tony has a 5 year old son that is living with his mom and I have a 16 year old son that is currently living with my ex. Tony and I have been great friends since 9th grade http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...ddess/6.gifand for the last 4 years have enjoyed each other in this great state.
I started a high Raw lifestyle last year and fell in love then I found out I was pregnant with my 6th child and even though I could have stayed raw the whole time I emotionally eat and found comfort in warm foods during a very stressful winter. Now that my little baby boy is here I am back on a high raw food life style and my family has excitedly joined in with me.
Life here is full of alternative living (to say a bit different from the norm). We breastfeed, cloth diaper and wear our babies. We garden, and raise animals that provide us food, We also live more like they did in the 1800s, meaning very simply. We work only to make enough money to pay for what we need, we heat our houses with wood (ours using an Amish cook stove)we also have an earth oven outside, our water comes from a natural spring that is in a cave on our property, we get stuck at home often when it rains a lot and the creek in front of our house fills up making it impassible by our cars and there are 16 people currently living at our address (9 kids plus my brother and his finance, my sister and her boyfriend, and my parents). It is an interesting life to say the least!

forgot to say
I would love to meet other people who are into eating Raw and maybe even start a meet up once a month in my area to get together and share food, recipes and swap tales.

Sounds like your big clan should plant a ton of fruit trees!

fruit trees
We do have a few fruit trees currently as well as grapes and berries planted. We had 2 floods this last year. That set us back as most of the trees were killed or washed away so starting back from scratch puts at a few years for a good yield. We do have a bunch of black walnut trees that I hope to start harvesting this year, I couldn't this year because they drop fruit only every 2 years.
I have planted some salad trays that will yield spinach and several different type of lettuce all year round. I also would love to build a green house to keep tomatoes (something I use a ton of) as well as peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, and such.
I am so happy to be here thank you!

there's a cool middle tn group that gets together monthly look for them on meetup.com
It is, therefore, evident that it is possible to cure by foods, aliments and fruits; but as today the science of medicine is imperfect, this fact is not yet fully grasped. When the science of medicine reaches perfection, treatment will be given by foods, aliments, fragrant fruits and vegetables, and by various waters, hot and cold in temperature.

thank you
Thank you for telling me about meetup.com, what a great site! funny but right after exploring it I was watching a youtube video about raw brownies and the guy doing the video also talked about meetup.
The closest raw food group that meets for potluck is over 2 hours from me, I am beginning to wonder if I am the only raw foodie in my area.lol
