Default I new to juicing, how do I start?

I brought a juice blender 4 years ago and put it in the garage.

    It's a good juicer.

I showed it to my girlfriend a month ago and we started juicing.

I had the most incredible energy after juicing, I'm still eating some sad's food. I juice twice a day and I still feel a difference with sad food's

When Im juicing i don't really know what I'm doing.

I mostly drink 70 percent carrots, 15 percent apple and 15 percent orange.

I heard too much carrots is bad for you, is this true

I really want to improve my health and juicing taste really good.

I tried water and it's horrible.

How do I start learning how to be master juicer and repair my health?

I don't know how to combine food's and what food heal's what?

I have hemoroids and Like to heal that as well

    Thankyou

Get books by Norman W. Walker. He's got one on juicing, it's benefits, combinations, etc. He was a major proponent of carrot juice btw.

    Ummmm, what's a juicer blender?

i'm guessing he's calling his juicer a juice blender.

nothing wrong with what you are juicing. remember you can add spices and herbs to your juice. try adding some parsley or cinnamon for example!

the absolutely BEST juice combo is the one you love and crave. that's the one your body needs!

    Thanks everyone : )

I've been drinking too much carrot juice lately, I'm going to cut down to less than a pint a day.

I been mixing allot of juice's together and they all taste really nice.

Try adding some greens in to your carrots and see how you like that. I LOVE carrots and an apple with spinach and/or swiss chard. Delish. The carrots and apple sweeten up the greens.

Wow, its possible to juice spinach : )

is it possible to juice onions?

What would be great is a list of vegeables and fruits, that is juiceable : )

I heard garlic and ginger is juiceable as well, is that true?

    I found these juiice recipes.

My juicer arrives today, so I plan to bring the list to the grocery store when I get some produce and keep a printout of the list in my kitchen to help me keep the variety:

All of the above. Pretty much the only thing you don't want to juice is:

    banana
    avocado
    rhubarb leaves (toxic)

most things... fruits, veggies, greens, ... are juiceable.

This is regarding centrifugal juicers but most may carry over to masticating. I've never used the latter yet, so there certainlycould be other tips that those who have can offer.....

Since the thread is "how do I start", I'll throw in a few pointers.

Before you start your juicer, fill you sink with dish water. The faster you get the parts into water, the easier they are to clean, and it helps to keep the staining from food pigments to a minimum. Try not to use scratchy pads on plastic parts. That will increase the propensity for staining.

If/when they do get stained, olive oil usually helps to clean it off. Rub it down with a vegetable oil of some type and allow to sit, or lay an oil soaked paper towel on the surface overnight if needed, and
it should come much cleaner. A small brush is a valuable tool for cleaning parts and the strainer screen if you use a centrifugal.

Save and read the owners manuals that come with juicers. There are often times recipes, many helpful tips, and guides on what to expect from different types of foods as far as texture, how to preserve colorand limit oxidation, etc.

Jarring up your juices in ball jars and using a vacuum sealing device will remove the air and is supposed to help prevent oxidation for at least a little while longer. I'll do this with juices I may not get to the same day I made them. I don't typically go beyond one day though.

2 green apples and a few stalks of celery
