    Default Frozen Coconut

I made macaroons last night and I used dried raw coconut from Whole Foods.

Tonight I went to whole foods and went to the freezer section and they had Frozen Shredded coconut. 12 oz bag was under $3. I bought a bag since I figured it's raw and probably 1/3 of what I paid for dried coconut.

Has anyone used this before in smoothies or for macaroons?

I will have to look for this at Sprouts Naturals or see if they can order it.

On the nutitional loss of frozen, I have read that is varies from 25% to 40%. So although not ideal, not a total loss.
