Ha ha ha...I was just coming to update this post when I saw yours MT!

I actually experienced no constipation on the 3rd & 4th day (Mon & Tues this week) as I did on the first two colonics.

I am really happy about that as I believe constipation is very dangerous!

I have 2 more colonics scheduled with my Groupon (I don't know if Groupon is in the UK, but you save a ton of money using them!).

I purchased a large enema bag to use gravity style and am going to start using it also.

I feel good, am losing weight and have ditched several medications and today is only day 34 of raw!

Good news! Yes we have groupon. There's rarely anything I want on it though.

Maybe it will get further and further from the colonic until you don't get it at all. That supposes that you'll continue with them I guess. Have you asked the person who gives the colonics or anyone who is well versed in these things?

Yes, I am hoping so too!

The colon hydrotherapist I have been seeing with my Groupon is very young and is not a raw foodist. She did say that it was obvious I was going through detox (because of my symptoms).

I have two more with my current Groupon, so I will just see what happens with them....I guess.

I am wary of everything being attributed to detox. It always seems a bit ethereal.

I hope it goes well. It did occur to me that it might be the fasting that is causing/contributing to the constipation.

Well, it didn't happen. I showed up for my appointment and they were having plumbing problems. I wasn't too happy since I was water fasting, but life goes on! Ü

Had my 4th colonic last night.

I guess I had a lot of assumptions, because when I started asking questions during the colonic I was NOT happy with the answers!

I always thought that a colon hydrotherapist used A LOT of water to hydrate the colon and then it was all sucked out which would leave the colon very clean.

    WRONG!!!

I found out last night that a lot of water is used (10-15 gallons) but only a cup at a time! WTH???

8 oz. of water in and then suction? Why is that SO different then giving yourself an enema over and over again???

The cost of a colonic is SUBSTANTIALLY higher then a bunch of enemas, especially if you OWN an enema bag!!!

    I was in SHOCK!!!

I assumed what a colon hydrotherapist did was SO MUCH BETTER than what you could do for yourself.

I was OBVIOUSLY very WRONG and feel VERY CHEATED!!!

I will not be going back.

Instead I will start using my ($10) gravitational enema bag.

    GEEZ!!!

See how the two compare and stick with whichever you like best. I think colonics has always been about trendy money extraction from the client but everyone knows what a cynic I am. I am sorry you have been disallusioned.

I'm quite the cynic too...well, maybe more of a realist! The money aspect is a big concern to me. I even got these past 4 colonics for $25 each (which is very inexpensive), but if I can do it at home for just the cost of really good water then I will be doing that!

I'll update in the near future....

How long does each colonic last and what does it usually cost? Here I have seen prices starting at about £90 which seems crazy high and as far as I can tell there is no regulation here. Anyone could set themselves up as a practitioner. Also, how do you know what quality of water they are using?
