That's a tough one. I know you're not supposed to introduce certain foods to babies till they're a year old. Have you considered approaching this topic to your child's physician?

I have had little ones love almond milk and make it every three days. You can add banana to it to make it sweet if they like. I prefer it the day I make it and the day after best.
For your seven month old they can eat lots of fruit, bananas and avocado are good, soft first foods.

Yeah for you for wanting to feed them the best you can!

I second exactly what GlimR said! I love almond milk best, but sometimes I make a mix of almond and sunflower (especially since almonds are sooo expensive!) or make walnut milk, which is interesting!

I'm not quite understanding....Is the 7 month-old on breastmilk? If so, I would not add any nutmilks ---yet.

I think for a 22 month-old though, nutmilks would be a fine addition.

BTW, nutmilks do not keep more than a day or two in the fridge. Of course fresh is always best, but if pressed for time, you could always freeze some....You may also want to add some good oils--flax, Udo's blend, etc.....either with the milk or separately.

For the 22 moth old: You can make a hempseed milk, it is safe for children and rich in essential fatty acid on top of many essential amino acid.

The 7 month old would still need formula. I have an 8 month old and he barely eats much real food at all. He requires a lot of nutrition still. I am sure a 7 month old does as well.
