PREGNANT, RAW, and looking forward to a RAW KID!
Hello friends! I found out today that I am pregnant!
We have been VERY careful (I'll spare you the details) but without birth control since I went raw.
Then one day a couple weeks ago my husband just plum decided to spring a surprise on me at the end of the you-know-what. I was mad at him that day but got over it because, truth be told, when will I ever say I'm "ready" to have a child.
It only took that one time. (Can we say "fertility" on raw!?)
So, PREGGERS!
Just thought I would share! Looking forward to a very raw, very vegan, very easy pregnancy.
Maybe I'm crazy. OK, I am crazy. But that's my thing, and I'm cool with it!

Congrats Eva. I am a loyal subscriber and am also expecting my third child, about 7 weeks along. I went to the doctor and told him I was a vegan who does raw foods and the look I got was priceless. I was told that I need to eat more protein, like eggs, fish, animal sources and it is a shame that most western doctors do not receive constant nutrition in their work. I do plan to be as much raw as I can handle, right now all foods looks and smell horrible. I did attempt a green smoothie this afternoon but it wasn't effective. Good luck and live stress-free (for me..lol) in Brazil. Peace

Aawwwwe! So so happy for you. I didn't get to decide when my children would come either. I think I never would have. Scary! I loved being pregnant. So wonderful. My advice is to gain knowledge. Knowledge is power. I had a great lamaze teacher (25 yrs ago) and had 2 natural births. Also read the La Lache books on breastfeeding.
(((hugs))) to you!

Congratulations!! yea a little angel coming your way.
Yes raw food made us so fertile, i was 40, missing one ovary and somehow got pregnant even with precaution. When it is a meant to be, it is.
I am looking forward to read about your progress. I sadly stop doing raw food while pregnant but i still had a very easy pregnancy on pure organic vegetarian food. I did eat a lot of raw food such fruits etc....
Anyway, i want to say that you will be fantastic and i pray for you and your little one
Blessings and love

So we're going to be in this together!! Awesome!! I'm loving food, loving life right now. I hope that doesn't change! Stress-free is the way to go -- working a lot with the new cafe and school here -- but it's all good!! Life is so very good!

Always have had sooo much respect for the La Leche League, will have to get some of their books while I'm in the US, and I have NO IDEA how we're going to do this, except Carlos is super clear that I refuse the ultrasounds, hospitals, and anything unnatural... We need to find someone here to help us!
I hope we will... but we'll see! lol!

THANK YOU! For the prayers and your kind words. I hope raw will be good for me, I just don't feel the same without it... So far (early), so good!
