    Default My avatar

I decided to put in an avatar and it's just not right. Can someone tell me how I can make it larger and clearer (I can't seem to get both).

    Thanks!

Try this one Debbie...this was the best I could do due to the initial size of the original photo...

Default Avatar "too" large tho' less than 150 x 150 pixels

I, too, have an avatar problem, and hope that the person who helps twinyoga can also help me. I've been manipulating my avatar in Photoshop, making it less than 150 x 150 pixels, and even making it the exact same size as some of the avatars already posted, but when I try to submit mine, I'm told that the file is still too large. The avatar that finally took is tiny. Any suggestions? I'm using an iMac G5 computer.

    Hi VFayes,

Sometimes the pixel size can be one size, but the file size is still large. If there is a way to change the size of the file itself in Photoshop (not familiar with that program) then keep the pixels at 150X150 but change the file size to no more than 19.5 KB.

If you can't get it, post the original photo here and either SweetGoddess or myself will grab it and fix it for you.

I think the kb size depends on how many colors there are in the photo.

Example: A 150x150 pixels black area is only 1kb on my PC. Whereas a picture the same size, with a butterfly on it, has about 8kb. I have PaintShop Pro. :)

I got it! Couldn't get it right in Photoshop, so I used a different program (PhotoStudio). Thanks, Rawkinlocs and yumyum!
