Default So Why Doesn't He see what I see

My husband is a SAD eater-- and eats a sugary dessert everyday. He sees how I changed my way of eating and have energy plus-- so why doesn't he see that the reason why he is always tired is because of SAD? Funny, I get more than twice the amount of stuff he does in a day--as he has to take a nap or two. (He works at home)

maybe his sight of things is very obscured from his SAD.

Sugar and cooked grains and dairy can really clog you up mentally.

I wonder these same things in regard to my parents and friends and especially my very gifted brother (he is so very smart in other areas of life). But I think their vision is really blurred.
And like, You cannot see what you do not CHOOSE to see. It just doesn't exist, this path, for him (not an option), despite his apparent (to you) suffering.

before i went raw i was really sick, lethargic and altogether exhausted. but... i never in a million years thought it had anything to do with my diet.

    He sees it.
    He is addicted.
You are dealing with addictions as strong as any drug.

Thanks to the thoughts given. You know it is true about "dealing with addictions as strong as any drug" --- I have certainly seen that. I saw that I really have an addiction to cheese. I was telling him that cheese is addicting and he said "He is not addicted" Aw so blind--maybe not to cheese but to the whole SAD way of eating!!!! I love being RAW!!! I love feeling full of energy! I love feeling healthy, not being tired and have clear thinking!! Myabe someday my hubby will make the connection too!!! It is funny cause he will try the GS once in a while, will eat fruit that I cut up and is now eating a salad most of the time for lunch(of course with all of his SAD eating along with that)

The inclusion of the fruits and veggies is a first step. You can't 'make' him change his diet... He may decide your way is better, or not. Just do what you are doing and keep those cut up fruits and veggies handy for him. Something is certainly better than nothing.

Sugar brings you down completely!! I did a 5 day sugar free diet, and not expecting it.. I was a HAPPIER person!!! I have put natural sugar back in my diet but what a difference. Your head wakes up. It really does. Sugar is so bad for you. Too much can make your body sick... cancers and such.

Did you see what you see before you saw what you see? hehe

No really, I was being funny, but was there a time when you did not eat this way? Or you didn't understand a habit someone else had, even if it added to that person's health?

Sometimes people just aren't ready. It's unfortunate, it truly is. But sometimes those people will come around if we give them the space to choose for themselves.

My husband is not raw or vegan, but he is close. It has been truly amazing to see how my "preaching" hindered him and how my "accepting" his bad habits brought him closer to raw.

On some level, it makes perfect sense. And on another, it's 100% nonsense! No matter which it is, it is reality.

Now, here we are in Brazil, and he has purchased a cafe and the VERY FIRST DAY he had it he jumped right into selling green smoothies and telling the whole world about them! I just LOVE it! It's so exciting for me to see what's happening. But he resisted when I tried to push him...

Is it OK if we celebrate that YOU see what YOU see and have all the energy and the health you mentioned? Shine your light! (Or I should say... "Keep on shining your light!")
