Some years ago, I had the following experience. I would be minding my own business, like watching television, watching Deputy Chief Brenda Lee Johnson make some bad guy confess, and I would feel it coming, coming, and then intense pain in my toes that would last for about 9 seconds. Then the pain would fade. It would come back in perhaps 2 minutes or 90 seconds. And it would happen all evening long. It was shocking it hurt so much.
I forget why I thought of it, but I decided that doing my rebounder (mini-trampoline) would help. It did help. In fact, I learned to depend upon my rebounder to keep these episodes away completely.
This says to me that something very healthful is happening when we do rebounding. At the time, I was weightlifting and running, and neither of these did any good. But rebounding did the trick.
The caution I have to say about buying a rebounder is to be sure that the springs are not squared off but tapered. Virtually everyone, from my 8 year old boy to myself, developed back problems with the squared off springs, and no one had any problem with the tapered springs.
