.....Yours looks just as good as the Grezzo one!! Was it complicated to make or did it take a long time?
I remember YOU!!!!!! I'm so glad that I inspired you!!!! The recipe was not complicated to me... There were several small recipes that went into making the wrap...(the Red Wine Vinaigrette, Quick Cheese, Bread Wrap, and Eggplant Bacon)... I made the Bread Wrap and Bacon the night before and it was ready by morning because I used a veggie peeler and made the Bacon thin like at Grezzo... It tasted JUST like the samples that Alissa gave me at the Restaurant. The Cheese & Vinaigrette was easily made the morning of... By Lunch time, all I did was assemble.
The key for me is making things the night before. I just imagine what I want to eat the next day and make sure I plan. It's not hard. Some things you don't have to prepare for in advance, but some you do... Just like if you were making SAD food and you had to pre-soak your beans or marinate something... Some thought goes into preparing when you have a family to feed, but YOU ****CAN**** DO IT!!!!

Here she is!!!!
Thank you everyone for your kind words!!!
Well, I'm back home now! BOY, WHAT A TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got to see my Friend and Mentor, Alissa!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't she BEAUTIFUL you guys!!!!! Here are some better photos:

Hey Alissa, I just LOVE the darker hair, BTW!!!!

I had to use my Phone to take these....I wish they were clearer....

She DID HER THANG, YAU'LL!!!!!!!!!!!! It was SO great to see her and Janet again! She hasn't changed a BIT!!! ...still Sweet as ever!!! ...still GRACIOUS... She gave about a 1 hour talk and answered questions from the audience.
Some questions were about how Raw Foodists get protein, how the lifestyle is maintained, etc... What really stuck out to me was that Alissa suggested Sprouting in HOTEL ROOMS!!!!!!!!!!! I had never thought about that before!!! But, I'm sure gonna try it!!!
She also suggested taking your own dressing to restaurants and reminded us of how she used to take Fudge Balls with her, especially at parties! I asked her what the biggest difference between both books is to her and she mentioned the experience of the lady in Florida that she helped as well as of the experiences in the 1st book, the Charts, the 30 day Menu Plan... I too feel that both books are very different from each other. Both wonderful in their own right... She served samples of her Date Nut Torte, which was a HUGE hit, of course!!! We even got to take some with us...of course most of it didn't make it to the hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D
It was dreary and rainy there, but my daughter and I had a WONDERFUL time!!! We packed PLENTY of fruit, nuts & seeds, and took lots of Eggplant bacon for snacking and making sandwiches. We did go to the hotel restaurant and had a salad too. It was good to get away...just us girls! I wish I had more time to spend with Alissa, but I know that we'll get to visit again when things slow down a bit for her! She's in DEMAND right now, you know! :-D

Also, one of my FAVORITE photos of her was when she posed with my Daughter. She's 8, and I'm not comfortable putting her photo on the Net, but I cropped it so you can see a bit of it... It's one of the BEST photos I took of Alissa, I think... (of course, SHE IS INCAPABLE OF TAKING A BAD ONE!!!!)

Anyway, it was a WONDERFUL trip!!!! Short....but wonderful! I was so glad that I got to be there to support Alissa! She did a FABULOUS job and her book is AMAZING!!! I'd TOTALLY do it again....

Renee.. thanks for the tips and more details on making that dish! I told my husband about it and I really think I'm going to get it for christmas (or maybe an early christmas gift ;) ) and try to re-create it at home.
