    Default To the simple

I've noticed that how I'm eating has changed. First when I started I made all these more gourmet type recipes, then I found myself wanted some cooked food and now I'm finding I like the simple. I didn't even like eating the cooked food. So now I found I love the taste of the plain fruits and veggies. I have some things I make like applesauce, dressings, some simple desserts, cheese, muffins and sometimes some crackers but many times just eat the simple! I LOVE EATING RAW!!!!!

I eat simple too and love it. :)

This should be on the main Raw and Living Food Discussion section rather than for just 50 & over. Probably why no one else replied. I'm not over 50. I usually just ignore restrictions.

I also eat simply and I also never notice which section a post is in.

It's sooo much easier, isn't it? I'm often ridiculously happy with a few pieces of fruit like a few tomatoes or apples. You'd think it was some fancy gourmet meal with the way I mmm over the flavors too. lol!

Me too. In the begining I ate soo much and so elaborate. Now I am happy with simple. I still enjoy my fancy meals out at the great raw food resturants in the area.
I remember reading in Alissa's book that this happens, I sure did not believe it when I first went raw.

Ha ha yeah me too although thank God I'm not dogmatic about it. I like to make the occasional gourmet meal. Some of the other schools of thought on raw get too strict about it and I like Alissa's relaxed attitude on it.

Hmmm I didn't pay attention to the posting section either. I know I read that in Alissa's book took about going from elaborate to simple. I didn't think I would do that. Hmmmmm though!!!

I never notice what section threads are posted in because I just click on new posts. But at age 38, I identify with you all.

Seems like for quite a few raw people as they go along, simpler tends to be better. I know, that while I like some adjuncts like crackers, frozen treats, etc. most of the time my food is pretty simple, like for example, two kinds of fruit, a small handful of cashews, a few date pieces and that's divine! Or a big smoothie, salad or wrap. If I have a few staples on hand it's actually pretty easy to whip together a simple raw meal. Often it's even easier than when I used to cook LOL! I'm not quite there about doing "mono-meals" like some raw foodists though. It's all a progression and we have to honor our bodies and what they are telling us for the duration.
