Default Raw and happy but why?

At the end of this month it will be 2 months. I love being 100% raw! I have a friend that "doesn't approve" of my being raw. She made this statement the other day-- "I don't want to live to be 90 -all of the people we know will be gone--so you being raw will live to be 90 but there will be no people left to enjoy it with. " It seems like such a strange comment to me. Doesn't it to you???

But, I am feeling so great. I started drinking a green smoothie in the morning. Hmmm Hmmmm! Made raw pizza the other day-hmmm!!

You can tell your friend that as you get older but your outlook and energy levels remain young you will acquire younger friends who will still be there when you are a bright healthy energetic 90 year old.

With all the billions of people in this world, you can never possibly run out of people to have relationships with. People will always find excuses to not be healthy.

I just took my 86 year old friend out for dinner. She's got quite a few friends her age and younger. She's traveling from CA. to Tenn. for a storytelling conference next month. She's vegan and swings kettlebells with us on Monday evenings. She's my inspiration about what one can do as one gets (chronologically) older and continues to get better.

I agree with what Dimond said. There will always be people in our life no matter what age. :)

You can always tell your friend that eating raw isn't about living to 90 or 100 (even though if we do, hey that's cool too), but it's about regaining our health and life back.

You keep doing what you're doing and who knows, your energy and radiance may wear off on her. :)

I do joke with my younger friends that when they get too old for me I am going to dump them as I do not want them dragging me down.
I must say that all of my friends are more conscious of what they eat as a result of being my friend so maybe they will keep up.

Me thinks your friends is a wee bit scared of living long because living long tends to mean prolonged suffering in a body that doesn't function anymore in western countries.
I think it's a good enough reason to try and stay as healthy as possible so as to avoid having to survive your autumn years without actually living. :)

Yep Cottonball McFluffy-- I think that is exactly what my friend's problem is--she is what she calls "a healthy unhealthy person--has many aliments and meds to "help" those aliments. I am starting to think she thinks I am doing the right thing for my body ---and just doesn't want to admit it would be better for her too.

My mom gives me this ALL the time. It's like, you can't make NEW friends?! If you're healthy, you should still have the ability to go out and make friends!
My mom just doesn't realize that healthy people age differently than junky people, she thinks that when someone reaches 90 they won't be able to see, hear, or function at all by themselves and life will be miserable. but if you take care of yourself, that stuff won't happen!
