    Default Over 50 newbie

Hi! I'm a newbie here. I started raw food in March. Not quite 100% yet--breakfast and lunch totally. Dinner eating raw and then usually a cooked veggie and potatoes with hubby. I am working on getting totally raw. Anyone use a dehydrator?? I just got one and am having trouble making the food dry enough. What do you all do when you go to a restaurant?

    welcome!

i eat a salad when i go to a restaurant. i just ask for the cooked items to be removed and more raw items added. they'll usually happily toss on anything raw they have. :)

i use a dehydrator and since i live in bc... it's very humid. i have let some items stay in the D for a day or two to get them to the dryness i desire.

When I go to a restaurant I take my own food. I have never had a problem with that. If they were to ask me to leave then everyone with me would have to leave.

    Go to a restaurant? What's a restaurant? ;)

Best wishes on your raw journey.

I am going to 2 restaurants this week. On Thursday night I am going to this one http://www.theshanghaiexpress.com/
And on Friday night I am going to this one http://www.manfridaykinsale.ie/menu.html

It does not matter to me what restaurant I go to. These are just the same to me as going to a raw restaurant as I can not eat the food in a raw restaurant either as I can not longer tolerate salt and they seem to load it on to everything. My bag of prepped mango is going to taste fantastic regardless of where I eat it. Now I am looking forward to it.
