    Smile My progress pics

I've just come across some pictures of me taken on holiday in Oct 2009 and I'm very excited to see that I've made some progress so I thought I'd share with you all :)

I started making the transition to raw foods about 6 months ago and am still only about 50% raw but I'm aiming for 100%.

The most recent pictures where taken a few weeks ago. I don't weigh myself so I don't know exactly how much I've lost but I've gone down a dress size or two. I didn't realise the difference until I compared these pictures.

I'm very excited to be posting my first progress pictures (I'm sure they'll be many more to come as I continue my journey into fabulous rawness)

I'd just like to say that the most profound transformation has taken place on the 'inside'. I'm a completely different person to who I was when the first pictures where taken. I am so much happier, confident and more content and full of love for myself and everyone and everything around me. And everything in my life is shifting to match my my new state - I've made the most incredible friends, quit my boring job, traveled and am about to move to the beautiful countryside. I couldn't be happier right now.

Me in Oct 2009 (3 months before I began making the transition to raw)

    (see below for now pictures)

WOW, girl!!! That's a HUGE difference not just in how much trimmer you appear, but you're glowing and look much healthier and more alive, now.

Imagine what 80% or 100% raw would do, even... ;)

Good work, you keep it up!!!

Thank you so much for posting your progress, it was exactly what I needed to see today. I'm one week into the Raw way of life and I feel I have a very long way to go (have about 130lbs to lose) and to see your progress shows me I will lose the weight and I will feel more energetic. I must be still detoxing as I'm still quite headachey and tired!

    You are looking fabulous

Amazing! All of this from 50%?! You are such an inspiration for me, because I've been setting myself up for failure with the "all or nothing" attitude. It just hasn't worked for me. I'm thinking I'm going to try your approach.

Thanks for sharing! You look great.
Taking it one day at a time. :D

Thank you all for your encouragement :)

Yes, I was stressing myself out at first trying to be 100% straight away. It wasn't just changing my eating habits that I found difficult, but the social side of it as well. None of my friends, family or work collegues were raw so I felt pretty isolated and unhappy at times. I felt uncomfortable when I went out with friends. I was also visiting my parents a couple of times a week and hated having to turn down my dads cooking and come up with excuses all the time.

For me the results started to show when I relaxed into it and let myself transition naturally. I'm still eating meals with my mum and dad regularly until I move away next week, and I go for dinner with my friends but I enjoy it now and don't punish myself afterwards.

For the time being I still eat some healthy cooked food most days while I get to grips with raw food. I will be 100% when the time is right.

I've found if you go at a pace that feels right for you, enjoy the process and have a healthy attitude about it, things will fall into place naturally. Like I said, things in my life are shifting now and I think the changes will make it a lot easier for me to take the next step to 80% or 100%.

Thank you so much for posting your progress, it was exactly what I needed to see today. I'm so glad I could be of some help Congratulations for deciding to make the change. Maybe if the detox symptoms continue, you could take it a little easier. Whatever you do, keep going and enjoy your new found energy, confidence and fab figure ;)

Oh and whilst I'm in self congratulating mode - I'm wearing a pair of jeans for the first time which I bought a couple of sizes too small about 2 years ago as a goal to work towards. After several attempts at dieting with no success, I can now wear them comfortably after just a few months of being 50% raw.

You look beautiful! -- Before & after -- congratulations!! Even your skin looks vibrant in the update! Thanks for posting this, it shows me that even while there isn't a full transition - that it still works! (I'm working on this transition).
