Thread: Wheatgrass??

  1. #1

    Default Wheatgrass??

Hey everyone, I am new to this forum, and interested in learning more about raw food. I have been reading a bit about wheat grass, and i have some questions.
Can you use normal organic wheat-grains (the ones that you make bread from) to grow wheat grass? Or do you have to go to the health food store to get the $20 for a small dose of grains (here in Denmark)
And what are other healthy alternatives (other seeds)?

Is wheatgrass the same as "cat grass"?

    Thank you,
    Christian

If you google "wheatgrass growing kits" you will find lots of places that will supply you with what you need.

It comes from wheatgrains. You just sprout them and grow them.

This time of year, I'd recommend juicing wild grass. It's much cheaper and easier to grow. :)

And yes, cat grass is just wheat grass with a higher price tag.
In fact, I have to grow my wheat grass in a tray with a lid now days to prevent this from happening.

Oh my gosh I love that picture, too cute, what a sweet kitty.

Anyway, does anyone have a good online source to purchase organic wheat grass from that isn't crazy expensive? Eventually I will grow my own but it isn't an option right now.

    Thanks,

    Melissa

Consuming wheatgrass is simply one of the most amazing things ever. l am currently having a conversation with one of the Hippocrates Health Institute staff about wheatgrass so l will report back here if anything really really exciting comes up.

Wheatgrass feeds ya and detoxes you like no bodies business, and makes you feel great mate! lt is the finest land food on the planet and is classed as a 5 star food (very few foods are classed as 4 and 5 star foods) because it contains an abundance of life force and sunshine and electromagnetic vibration. The only other 5 star foods are: sunflower greens, buckwheat greens, pea shoot greens, algae, seaweed, and some tropical jungle fruits like pine apple and mango IF they are picked directly from the trees.

Unfortunately wheat and the other major grains are a hybrid, but it is still powerful stuff. Barley can also be used but it is quite bitter, but Rye can also be used.

Don't get silly supermarket seed, get the best seed you can. Get organic of the best quality.

Try ordering the grain in big sacks and have everyday. l order mine in 20 kg sacks and use about 100kg a year for grass growing.

l am soo glad my domestic feline (cat) doesn't lay on my wheatgrass.

    Regards: Mr Raw.

That is such a cute picture!!

anyway -tries to get adorable picture out of her mind so she can think straight- I definately am going to start growing wheatgrass. I have two cats in my house so I am going to need to do something to keep them out of it lol. I have a pot of herbs and they nibble at it from time to time but they never eat much of it so at least they leave some for me.
