Default Oh wow. Best ice cream EVER.

    Blend:

    Frozen bananas
    Fresh mature coconut
Tahini (about a tablespoon per banana)
    Splash of vanilla
Sweeten to taste with dates or agave

Mmmmmmm. So unbelievable. This beats the whooie out of SAD ice cream!

Did you eat right away or re-freeze. Is the coconut shredded or just coconut put through the blender?

Yeah...I have found that I actually like banana icecream better than the stuff in the store. I had some last night that was super simple and really good. Two frozen bananas, sunflower seed milk (I have to use some liquid cause I am making mine in a blender), fresh mint, cocoa powder. So yummy. Also...I eat right away...has the consistency of soft serve.

I love the taste and texture of it but eating the bananas like this make my mouth itch..weird, I can eat about 3-4 banans in a day and never have issues, but when I blend them smooth it does..
Thanks for the recipe, I will try it as I am a sucker for icecream..

Just fresh mature coconut, but I'd imagine you could try using shredded if you like.
I enjoy the texture more if I freeze it for ten more minutes afterwards, but it's so yummy sometimes I can't wait.

Wow, that's so weird. Hopefully you can figure out what it is that does that.

Oh, also, if you drop in a couple of dates, the little pieces make it look like "vanilla bean" ice cream, lol.

I agree! I love banana ice cream so much more than sugary dairy stuff.

    I like to make this:

1)frozen bananas through juicer, alternating 1/2 banana with 1/2 cup of dry coconut, 1/2 banana with 1/2 cup coconut, and so on.

2)mix in desired amount of vanilla extract

3)then I put almonds through the juicer to make almond butter. I lightly mix in the almonds and some cinnamon so it creates a swirl effect. yummmm.

Add some shavings of raw chocolate. I make one similar. I use banana, young coconut meat, raw chocolate, agave nectar or honey. COuld also add a few pieces of strawberry too.
