Red face How much weight did you lose in your first month?

    Hey everyone!

I'm just curious. I've been raw for two weeks and I definitely feel smaller, but I haven't measured or weighed myself yet. I'm waiting until the 1st of July. Also, I stayed raw longer than my first time, so I feel pretty accomplished! I'm about 80% raw and I love it! Desperately looking for some new recipes to try, this all exciting! I need to mix up my greens and try some other stuff. I usually have steamed veggies or a salad for dinner; my green smoothies in the afternoon and my rawsome mix or bananas with oat grouts.

    Congratulations on your journey! :)

The first time I went Raw (in 2006), I think I lost a little over 8 pounds my first month. I'm just into my fourth week and I've already lost almost 12 1/2 pounds this time.

I was heavier to start this time, though. ;)
    HW: 184 pounds
SW: 179.2 pounds on May 23rd
CW: 164.4 pounds (14.8 pounds released!)
    GW1: 170 pounds MET! :p GW2: 160 pounds  Final Goal: 130 pounds

Not sure how much weight but I am able to wear shirts I haven't been able to wear in over three years. I am down from 3XL to 2XL and some XL shirts. That is in about a months time.

I gain/lose weight off and on and don't keep track, I don't even know how much I weight or the last time I checked. I think I'm considered high raw, at least 80%.

Well, I always check out the grocery ads to see what produce is on sale, and I love Sprouts and Henry's. Whole Foods is too expensive for me right now.

Farmers Markets are always great, and if you try some of the international markets you can find some great foods as well. :)

LOL! Sounds JUST like me :) There's times when I release weight & times when I hang on to it. Only time I know the actual # is once a year when I go to my dr.

I started out rather thin at 153.9 lbs and 6' tall, I still lost 12 lbs in a month. I am on day 120 today and have lost a total of 20 lbs..For me that is a lot..I am rather skinny now, apparently bone thin, according to friends and family..but how cares, I feel like a million..and that is what counts in my book.

Don't be silly. My friend's husband is having heart surgery right now. He is only in his early 30s and was having symptoms for weeks, but didn't believe in doctors either and didn't go to get it checked out. It turned out that he now has an infection that has ruined his heart valves, and has gotten to the point where surgery is needed to save his life. I know his family is wishing that he had gone in to see a doctor earlier! I understand that most physicians don't know enough about alternative health and raw foodism, veganism, etc. It's too bad, as most genuinely have good intentions to their patients. I know this first-hand as I am a medical student myself who is passionate about preventative health! :)

Anyway, to the OP, I have been all raw for over 3 months now. In my first month, I lost around 13 pounds, then approximately 4 pounds in the second month, and 4 pounds in the 3rd month. I still have another 60 pounds to go, but I know I'll get there. The last 2 months' weight loss has been excruciatingly slow, but at least I'm consistent, and I feel really good! I've also been getting compliments on my appearance, which is nice.

I lost about 8 lbs in the first month. Now the weight is coming off much slower - but it is still coming off! :)
