    Question stupid question

O.K., I feel like this is stupid, but......
I am about 50-75% raw, but sometimes I eat a cup of cooked vegan soup with my raw salad at lunch. I always wonder (worry) if I'm cancelling out the goodness of my raw salad by putting cooked food in my stomach at the same time.
And yes, I am a worry wart!

The more raw that you eat the better. The soup will not negate the beneficial effects of the raw foods.

I agree. If that were the case, I wouldn't be experiencing such great health benefits! Besides, if soup with your lunch is the only cooked thing you are having..you are way more than 50% raw. Even 75% sounds too low. Keep up the good eating habits...you're doing great!

You could eat the soup warm but not really hot, that way it wouldn't damage the salad in your stomach. It's always better to eat salad with cooked food for the digestive enzymes, so your pancreas won't have to work so hard. I wouldn't worry about it too much. And there's no such thing as a stupid question.

If you are to eat cook food, it is always a great idea to have enzyme before or eating a raw vegetable before. Salad is great, fresh vegetable juice is also great.

You goal is to go 100% raw but most of all focus on your accomplishment and don't beat yourself up for not being 100% raw just yet. Positive thought is the key to success. Making room for the raw food is wonderful and staying away from toxic chemical is another accomplishment. In time, when you are ready, you will do the 100% raw. I recommend that you pick a date and just do a try for 30 days. Cook food is so addictive and it takes at time up to 40 days to reset your body.

    Congratulations on your raw journey!

I do not agree. Sorry. If you take the soup first then you will experience Digestive Leukocytosis.

You want to try and avoid this. I have read that if you keep your meal to more than 50% raw and eat the raw first then you can avoid it.
I suggest that you play safe and keep it to at least 75%.
