Default nadien alexandra's before and after pictures

    hey guys.

I thought I would post some pictures.
This is my transition from a sad SAD diet to an all RAW VEGAN diet.

I started eating more Raw at the end of Summer '09. I became high Raw in the Fall. Fell off the band wagon a bit throughout the winter, but became totally Raw in the early Spring of this year. Now I'm all Raw and my god the difference in my face alone is amazing.

Hopefully these can inspire other people who have had skin issues (which translate to self-esteem issues for me) in their lives. I've struggled with terrible acne since grade 8, and only this year, after going 100% Raw, has my acne finally diminished.

    One year Ago.
    SAD eater. Smoker. Drinker.

I can't believe how Red, puffy, and uneven my skin is; how colorless my eyes are.

High RAW. End of Fall '09

Totally RAW. no longer a smoker, drinker or SAD eater. Taken this week during my juice fast.

ps. that is my dad with me. He's a big SAD eater. Big beer drinker. I want to help him so badly. suffers from gout. has been through cancer... man oh man.

    Anyway. yay for raw.

Wow. Everything looks so amazing, but I cannot get over how clear and bright your eyes became! You look incredible, lovely.

Was there a big difference between high raw and all raw? I'm curious as to how much that last 10% or so really does..

It's like you became a beautiful new person, with a new persona. The 1st pic you look like an unhappy, rebellious teenager and then you emerge into a stunning, glowing, young woman. :)

Def a healthy beautiful glow! R-awesome!!
Your eyes and skin is so radiant and clear!!
You're sparkling and twinkling like a jewel on Raw!!! :)

Maybe, just 7 day green smoothies could be something he be willing to do just to see how he feel after 7 days? Most people say they crave it after seven days and felt better too. It's a good way to get started.

You look awesome. Keep plugging away at your Dad. I got mine drinking fruit smoothies in the am and even the occasional green smoothie - if I made it for him. It was too late for him but its not too late till its too late!! Don't tell him to stop eating his favorite foods - just add good foods on top of it. Like a green smoothie a day. Start slow, baby steps and all. Good luck. You're doing great yourself.

    Thanks everyone.

I FEEL like a different person. I was going through a lot in those pictures from last year. Just struggling with myself all around. not happy, and not dealing with it.

    I've come a long way.

SHELS: from high raw to 100%, I noticed a big difference in my energy and how light I feel (meaning, I feel like I can move easier, and with more grace, and that has nothing to do with how much I weigh. I hope that makes sense), but maybe it has to do with WHAT i was still eating at high raw.

I drink more juices and smoothies now, eat more mono meals, and the desire to do that happened when I went totally raw.

Congrats Nadien, you look amazing! And sounds like you feel amazing too, which is even more important!!

Best wishes and good luck with your father too. I'm only a weekish into raw and I wish I could get my parents to convert. Both suffer from health issues that I know would clear up/get better with raw. I know this because they've tried somewhat similar diets (eliminating certain foods/food groups) in the past and lost weight and felt healthier. But both lack the will power/strength/whatever you call it to stick with things. Not to be rude to them, but they're lazy. I'm not sure they truly want to change either. They want to enjoy whatever they want consequence free. Its hard to try to convince a parent that life doesn't work that way. They don't generally want to hear that kind of crap from their child - no matter how hold, smart, or knowledgeable they might be!

I keep trying to insert things into conversations to at least plant the seeds though. Like "Wow, my stomach feels great after eating this, I've never been able to eat such a huge salad without pain before! Must be this raw diet!" Maybe someday that will sink in and they'll give it more of a go themselves :)
