    Default Loving The "After"

So, I'm still not 100% raw, but moving closer every day. I've noticed an improvement in my skin already (have been dealing with pretty consistent acne since puberty), but it really hit me a few minutes ago, as I was getting ready for bed.
Sleepy and ready to turn in, I switched on the light in the bathroom, and was immediately disappointed that I hadn't gone through the chore of removing my makeup yet - only to realize that I had! I actually had to look closer to make sure my reflection was pure (or should I say raw) me.
If this was the only benefit raw foodism had to offer, it would be enough for me. As it is, I'm also loving all the energy, balance and purity that comes with the raw lifestyle.

I get compliments on my skin all the time. It is a great benefit to the raw you. I couldn't agree more about the clarity and balance that it brings. I've been really thinking about how luck I am to have found this raw life. It is so nice to be me now. I am so much happier. Glad you are also finding your bliss.

I hear ya Shels. I had adult acne since I got pregnant with my first baby... and it stayed right up until I went raw. Now my skin is clear and beautiful. All the red patches are gone.

I'm thrilled with my skin now!

Congrats on your skin! I've gone off raw lately and my skin does seem worse--I keep getting all these little bumps on my cheeks, and I haven't been able to figure out why. I miss raw, but I just can't seem to get back on the wagon

    I love you, Shel!

    hi hi hi hi,

yes, if this was the only benefit of raw food I would STILL be all raw.

My skin has gotten 3 gazillion times better since turning to raw and even better wince I stopped using harsh cleansers (all I use these days is Coconut oil!)

I used to have serious acne, and My skin is almost perfect now.

I am so thrilled for US

Shels, I'm still venturing into Raw territory myself and I'm about 85-90% Raw now. I've had a few relapses from Raw, but I am working through them.

The first thing I noticed about the pictures of Before and After here, was that the skin on the women I viewed was beautiful. I mean the pictures looked like they have very vibrant skin, something Hollywood pays millions for to look beautiful

From what I've seen here, it looks like Hollywood needs to wake up to Raw living. It makes your skin look so pretty.

    Best of luck,
    Dennis

I agree Dennis - just think of the positive effects that would wash over society if the stars started promoting rawism! We can only hope, hm? Gwyneth Paltrow is supposedly drinking green smoothies, actually. Hmmm...

I love you too Cosima. ^-^

Nadien - you said coconut oil? I definitely found that the less chemicals I use the better (Proactiv seriously messed up my skin for a while), but I'm still using a couple. Would you mind sharing your skin-cleansing and hydrating routine? I'm pretty new to holistic hygiene (plus, your picture looks absolutely radiant).
