    Default Trying again!

I'll be 55 next month, and I'm trying once again to go raw. I've been there briefly before about 5 yrs. ago, and felt wonderful. I really need to get back on board, but am trying a gentler approach. I probably will never be 100% raw all the time, and that's OK. I hope to take one day at a time, and just do the best I can. My biggest obstacles are: 2 teenagers still at home and all the junk food they bring into the house, and my obsession with food....especially nighttime snacking. I hope to find support and encouragement here! :)

I suggest that you start your day with a green smoothie. It will help a lot.

Ditto on the green smoothie. We're the same age - I'll be 55 this year too.

Night time snacking - argh! I do it too, I just keep it healthy. Last night I snacked on apricots and another time I cut a bowl of tomatoes with fresh basil. I can't get away from snacking after dinner! I do very well during the day though. *Ü*

Hi i have been green smoothies for over a year and now 100% raw, they have helped me to go raw and now i have no cravings for any cooked food at all and the more you eat raw greens the less you need to eat at the wrong time of day.I have my smoothie first thing in the morning then i walk for 40 mins feeling great. I hope this. helps I am 57 and getting younger every day. just keep trying you will get there good luck

so so happy you didn't give it up!

when i am tempted to eat at night i stop and ask myself... are you really hungry? if i answer yes, then a banana hits the spot. if a banana doesn't sound good...well, i know i'm not hungry. this little approach has helped me pass up sooooo much regret.
