Ahhh relief with the Master Cleanse..but have a ??
I decided to make my lemonade in my gallon jug (1 cup lemon juice, close to 6 oz maple syrup ~ is that too much, i've heard 1tbs/8oz and 2tbs/8oz?? and lots of cayenne.) Being this is my first day I figured I'd be experiencing a bit of hunger at first. How much do you all usually drink during the day, again I've been reading conflicting things, some say 6 glasses/ others say drink througout the day? I can easily polish off this gallon by 5pm!!! I know it seems like soo much sugar, would love to lose a few lbs, but really have to do this more to get my body cleansed and moving...
the originacl book says 6-12 glasses day but no more. I did around 8 every day because it got to where i was always drinking all the time and i couldnt really handle anymore. eventually your stomach shrinks too. but just listen to your body and have a glass when you are needing it.
Ever since my first experience with the MC I have had a day job which meant I had to premix the drink. I know Burroughs said drink it fresh as optimal, but I don't have that option these days. So, what I do is to take a gallon container, pour in the fresh juice of 6 medium lemons or juicy limes, add about 5-7oz of maple syrup (depending on what size jar I buy, and how long I need it to last) add a few shakes of cayene, and then fill about 75% full with fresh filtered water. I drink this throughout the day at work while MCing.
I have also been known to mix the juice and pepper and syrup in a small container, and stir a bit into large glasses of water. (This makes it less obvious at work, where well meaning people can misunderstand.)
I drink lots of water between each glass. HEre is one thing I have noticed. IF I don't drink enought syrup, (at least 5 oz) I will start getting low bp, and dizzy when I stand up. THis is likely due to already low bp normally. HOwever, it is just something I notice around day three pretty much everytime.
Hope that helps.
oh~don't be concerned with the quanity of sugar, calories, etc unless you are diabetic. I promise you, I once looked up the calories in a full gallon of the stuff, and it was less than 1000 calories. In the MC book, Burroughs details suggestions for diabetics, as I recall it meant using molassas instead.
With the MC_
With the MC can you take it 1st thing in the morning on an empty stomach and eat later in the day. Can it be used to prepare your system for the day?
I am a little confused and could use the help in understanding can it be used everyday along with your meals?
'master clense' is a roundabout way of doing a better job through a total fast with a competent supervisor and system of reinitiation to a healthier lifestyle. I would suggest dropping the notion of 'goading' your system into health. Cayenne pepper in particualr is of no use to building healthy tissue. The reason it feels uplifting (stimulating) when you consume it is because the body recognizes it as injurious and speeds up metabolism in order to flush it from the system.
A more sensible appraoch would be to eat a little less and get more rest in a warm and comfortable environment, take a long walks in the fresh morning air and breath deep, etc. So many things are more beneficial to your being than this program of 'master clense'.
Just my stick in your spokes. Sorry. I think the master clense is a load.
