    Default Tribest Personal Blenders

For those who have a Tribest Personal Blender, which model/package did you purchase? The website is here: http://www.tribestlife.com/productca...p?idCategory=3

Which size jar do you have? Is it large enough?
How much fruit/greens fit into the jar?
Have you actually traveled with it? Were you pleased?
Is the carrying case worth the additional cost?

    Thanks!
    Gittel

I had never heard of these until reading it in Victoria's blog the other day...when I clicked on the page, I thought - ok, looks like a Bullet....then I saw the MASON JAR MODEL. drool. Love that. :)

I also didn't realize until looking at the Tribest that the Bullet has bpa. And my food processors and ice cream makers do as well. Sigh.

I have the Tribest and am happy with it. I use the mason jar version. Although I also have a Vitamix at home, it is nice to use the Tribest when I'm pressed for time in the morning and want to make a quick smoothie. The Tribest blends in the same container as I take with me, so I don't have to clean up afterwards like I would my Vitamix. (This isn't a big deal at all, but only when I'm running late.) I personally don't use the Tribest for hard-core blending (such as ice, hard nuts) or for fibrous greens...like I would with a Vitamix. I know less fibrous greens like basil or spinach blend well in the Tribest; however, I haven't tried more fibrous greens like kale (as I would rather use my Vitamix to get a smoother blend). I use the 16oz container and typically put softer things in the Tribest, like a banana, berries, protein powder, and fresh juice.

Another nice thing I like about the Tribest is the ability to blend small quantities, such as with their 4 oz container... which is hard for a big blender, like the Vitamix, to do. I have used the 4 oz container to make dressings or pesto etc. I haven't had a problem putting in softer nuts/seeds in there (such as pine nuts or hemp seeds). I suppose I could try using harder items like ice etc, but I don't want to take chances of burning out the motor. It's a nice product, I think.
