prices?

Can anybody tell me the average price for a decent juicer or dehydrater? They're both really good to have (if i plan on doing this long term) and I dont have either. Any suggestions?

I paid $160 shipping included for my L'Equip juicer. The one that juices wheatgrass and makes nut butters. It's more flexible than the Champion and less expensive. I love it, it's fantastic, but I don't use it. Anyone want to buy a slightly used juicer?

I use the $40 stacking american harvest dehydrator. I have extra trays for height and rollup trays. After 9 months I can honestly say I've never needed a more expensive one.

There isn't really an average price for this stuff. It depends on whether you watch your pennies or want the biggest and newest models available. You can find dehydrators, blenders, processors, coffee grinders at thrift stores and upscale kitchen stores. You could get a used manual juicer on eBay for $25 or spend $400 on one that will practically go to the store and pick up the produce for you. ;)

My Excalibur 9 tray dehydratyor was around $200 - $300 with free shipping, and I can honestly say, I would never buy any other kind.

You can remove the entire front of the machine, take out one or as many trays as you like, it is so easy to clean, everything comes out. teflex sheets are made cut to size, and it doesn't have any hot or cool spots.

Everything dehydrates at the exact same rate of speed, and it looks so nice on a counter, solid black, pretty.

I have about 5 different juicers, all have their benefits, but I don't drink that much juice, when I do, I like to use the whole fruit and get all the good fiber, so I like my Vita Mix $400 best plus it makes all the super smooth and creamy sauces, nut butters, pate's etc.

I have about 4 different kinds of food processors, and I like my cuisinart $200 the best for speed and high performance, never heats up, I love my new little gadget food processor $80 that I bought for my Bamix $200 hand held blender, but it's just a little guy, perfect for on the road, or making one small smoothie, or 1 or 2 cups of somthing.

I wouldn't buy a centrifugal juicer $40 again, because it oxidizes the food more, and doesn't get as much pulp out of the food, the Champion $225 I love, it makes the best carrot juice in the world, doesn't oxidize it and tastes sooooo sweet, I hear the green life/green star/green whatever $250 - $400 they call it works great, but I don't like the look of it, kind of squatty, but it is supposed to be a really good machine, with two masticating gears, and also one of them, actually magnetizes the food, so it keeps it from oxidizing, not sure how "natural" this all is, but it sounds good.

One of my big priorities, is where will I put it, will it stay out on the counter, because if it's not on the counter, I probably won't use it often. And is it pretty?

You see if someone gave me an olive green champion juicer, I'd give it away, because I hate that color, so I have to like the way an appliance, works, looks, and it has to be easy to clean too, if I can't clean it quick, I don't want it.

Plane and simple, but I'm really picky, and that's okay.
