    Default shout out!

sometimes we think that when we reach a "certain" age or stage in life that we are stuck at a size or weight.

well, let me tell you that since i've upped my raw game the weight is melting away. not only that but i am thinking of possibilities in general all of the time.

being a raw food person is the most liberating gift. i think about traveling to Greece, i think about painting, learning a new musical instrument, ... doing creative, enjoyable things. i am thinking about earth, giving and serving others. reaching out.

    that's it...eating raw let's me see out. i am less self-absorbed. i am free!

    how about you?

Being raw has brought on a new dawn of possibilites for me. Being at that "certain age" is a time when we can either be stagnant or we can embrace the process and make changes towards improving and enjoying the next stage of our lives. I am finding raw and that "certain age" a very powerful duo!!!

I'm more active now than I was in my 40s. I go to Curves 3 days a week and yoga class the other 2 weekdays. I love it - I'm so jazzed about eating and living this way! *Ü*

Raw is the way to get past all the negative messages that older women get in our culture for sure, along with proper exercise. It's a way of taking BACK our bodies and restoring them to health and vibrancy in a safe natural way, not all this plastic surgery pills, potions, creams garbage. It's not that one gets old, because we all do if we live long enough, but HOW we get old. I saw that somewhere and thought it was very apt. Going to be 63 in a couple of months here and going strong at my gym and in my size 4-6 jeans. A much younger woman commented that I had a nice pair of shoulders now and couldn't believe how old I am. Oh, maybe she was being real polite - LOL!

Lodestar I love your quote! This happens to me often as a teacher of children who learn differently and are challenged in some areas.

    I love this thread.

I have to think about it some more and then I will respond.
