Hi everyone!
My name is Lucila (Lucy for short) and I am from Las Vegas, NV. I've been on and off the raw diet for 2-3 years and have only recently completely conquered the cravings and the up and downs of the raw diet. I'm glad to say I am 100% raw for the time being (I don't really see that changing in the future).
I was 20 years old (I'm now 23) when I first started to find out about raw foods. I was in perfect health and didn't really have a reason to go on a 100% raw diet. However, I love to learn and I just found it REALLY interesting. It blew my mind to realize that the food I was eating wasn't good for me and that it was actually very toxic to my body. I couldn't wrap my mind around it. So I researched raw foods and have thus far read about 20 books on the matter. I still find it so interesting!
After failing who knows how many times I decided to start a blog at http://www.lucycou.com to help me with my transition. I guess a way to keep me accountable. I am currently documenting 30 days of a typical 100% raw food diet. I am familiar with the diet and have been heavily researching it for 2 years now. I get so many questions form those around me that don't know about raw foods, so I created the website to help. I post what I eat every day along with pictures and recipes. I'm having a blast sharing information with as many people as possible and hope to help many more.
My passion in life is helping people. I hope to be an inspiration and to help as many people as I can. I love nothing more than to see people be happy and independent. I think there is too much deception and brainwashing in the food industry at the moment and I hope to bring some truth forth to the public. I just want to see people healthier and happier.
Much love to everyone and I am glad to see raw food forums popping up on the internet. It gives me hope. :) Thank all of you for being a part of the raw food revolution. It's wonderful.
Have a great day!
