    Default Torpedo Blender

Has anyone seen the infomercial for the Torpedo Blender? It supposedly does everything that a Vitamix does - plus it juices. I am saving for a Vitamix but I have a long way to go. Thing is the blender I had went out on me and I have been using a Magic Bullet to make my smoothies. The cups are really small so I have to make two smoothies to get one the size I like. Time consuming!!! Anyway I was thinking about trying this thing (the Torpedo Blender), because it's driving me crazy making smoothies with the Magic Bullet and I was going to spend the money anyway getting another blender until I can save for the Vitamix. I figure once I get the Vitamix I can just take the blender to use at work. So has anyone tried it???

Sounds impressive. And, how much does this little beauty cost?

The Torpedo blender featuring smart electronic technology and a unique beverage dispenser is nine machines in one! Juicer, grinder, chopper, high end coffee maker, margarita maker, and so much more.

I think it's $99.00. They let you try it out for 30 days for $14.95 with free shipping. I don't know...I'm just really tired of making my smoothies in a Magic Bullet - it's driving me nuts. Also, I'm just getting back to work so it's going to take me a while to save for the Vitamix.

Are you serious?, sounds like a cheap, made-in-China plastic piece of garbage. The motor that's likely in it is just what you'll find in a $30 blender

Just keep saving for the Vitamix, yes I know it's difficult, but always go for quality. You may also consider selling the TV (yeah I know that's radical, but better you cut these infomercials out of your mental diet), to help you save faster. My humble three cents here.
I chose the road less traveled and it has made all the difference...

Check Craigslist, eBay, local thrift shops, etc. I just sold my VM for $250. People who don't love theirs or know the value will be selling them for quite a bit less... maybe even $100.

That made me laugh. For what I could sell my little 12 year old TV for probably wouldn't buy me a cheap blender!!

I have to keep saving. It will take forever. But oh well.
