Default NatLiving 3:Just when you thought it was safe to come out of the bathroom - Hair Dyes

So here's the thread for all of you who've dyed...pun intended
Is anyone still using these toxins in spite of the fact they penetrate the scalp and enter the bloodstream?

    me.
I do use the healthiest one I can find but I am not prepared to do without.
I have given up everything else. No soap or other toiletries.
I said that I would give it up at 60 (2 years to go) but maybe not.

No. I think that I posted in the correct place. It was to emphasise a point. We have discussed the soap issue enough.

    Agreed.

This one I haven't given up, yet. It's something I rarely do, so it shouldn't be too tough. But I have stopped using all nasty stuff, aside from the rare occasion that I have my hair dyed or paint my nails.
Taking it one day at a time. :D

I'm trying... this is my second attempt to stop coloring my hair. I had switched to Herba Tint - a healthier alternative, but not 100% natural (to my understanding).

So - now I'm about half-grown out. I'll see how it looks when I'm all grown out. I really don't want to pile the chemicals on my scalp anymore... *Ü*

I've never dyed my hair and hope to continue that always. I will do everything to avoid it. If I think I need something, I may try henna.

Henna is the only natural alternative I'm aware of, thanks for bringing it up.

Wishing you victory (cheering smiley here) in your quest to be natural.:)

BTW- I'll assume you're too shy to go to yesterdays thread.
