Hi everyone!
This week is really going well... only disturbance is quite a bit of gas. Is anyone or has anyone experienced this? Know what it could be a result of?
B: 2 bananas and a bunch of strawberries
L: I made Thick's pesto stuffed mushroom caps - YUM! I think they are the recipe of the week, thanks Thick! And had them with a mâche tomato salad
Have a great day everyone! I received some disappointing news this afternoon but I am trying to just accept it and not let it get me down. Alas!
-
I am going to return tonight to post what I ate today :)
Tguch, when I feel gas I always think something I ate is having trouble digesting
Rawn:)! why did you have to go and get the dogs?

I'm so glad you liked the mushrooms, but I didn't invent them.Who did? Impossible to know, but I first heard of them in Alissa's Living on Live Foods book.
I never follow my plan, it seems. I didn't have corn chips and guac yesterday, though I did have the magenta salad. Anyway, I am staying raw through my deviations=)
Kidkid? Are you still here?=)
Today-
stay off of computer until tonight
make the corn chips, already!
vigorously clean house while sweating and panting=p
rest of magenta salad (this time with only apple/beet/honey/salt)
something with zucchini (pasta maker is packed=/)
corn chips and guac..or corn crusted mexican pizzas w/avacado,tomato,serrano,cilantro,lime--depending on the drying time of the chips
I hope you have a memorably wonderful day=)

My day 2
Things are going great! I did find the recipe for the spinach dip! Of course in Alissa's book. I will try it, it sounds good!
I made raw tortillas and had raw enchiladas for dinner. I am doing a green smoothie for breakfast, big spinach salad for lunch, fruit for a snack with raw fudge, and then an entree for dinner. I have left over enchiladas that should last a while. And that is fine with me I think I could eat those every day! I also really enjoy raw tacos with the walnut taco meat!
Okay great job everyone!
Have a great day in the Lord!

Tguch, I've been gassy too. Not as gassy as I can get on SAD, but still notable. Actually, I haven't noticed it today.
Probably because I haven't eaten! I had my wisdom teeth out this morning. I've had about 8 oz of water and a few bites of green smoothie - the pain was excruciating so I'm holding off. I am not feeling hungry though - the surgeon said I'm supposed to be eating, but I feel like I want my body focused on healing, not digesting! So, I'm listening to my body instead of the doc.
If anyone has tips on healing wisdom teeth, I'd be happy to hear them :)

Vegansara - No tips on wisdom teeth, but I think it is wise to listen to your body. Hope the pain goes away quickly for you.
Today's meals were as follows:
Breakfast -
Smoothie: Kale, carrot greens, banana, mango, ground flax, maca, green supplement, water, ice
Snack - sprouted pumpkin seeds
Lunch - made more Spinach Dip, and tried eating it with romaine leaves, but couldn't finish it all... suddenly I didn't feel like eating another bite of anything green! ... so I put it all back in the fridge and had another simpe "caramel apple" - translation 8 dates & 1 apple
Dinner - nothing... just drinking lemon water and taking it easy.
good night all

I am with a Rescue Society for Dogs & we are trying to help out with the high volume/kill shelters located in the States & Canada. Maricopa County in Phoenix receives around 1,000-15,000/month!! They euthanize them after 3 days.

Green Smoothies help heal our bodies fairly well, for an over all general. I know some really rave about them (healing it all), but since it's quite painful to eat anything at this stage..( I know I had all four of mine & an eye tooth with complications removed at once)
What about Oil Pulling? It is supposed to heal cuts & what not in our mouths & the rest of the body. Sunflower Seed Oil *refined & organic* would be a better option.

Do you just blend it all together? Or do you blend the dates & than apply to the apple?

hello!
I ate 7 bananas, about a pound of red grapes, brazil nuts, and some delicious nori today!
Tomorrow I'm hitting up the farmer's market for some apples and whatever else i can get my hands on! and I'm craving young coconuts, as usual.
I want more greeeeeeens! Maybe I'll make a kale salad tomorrow as well.
Thick! thank you so much for reaching out and checking up on me. it's so good to have a buddy on this challenge. rawk on!

Kidkid, I so understand. Just keep going, anyway!=) Hey, it's a challenge, it's challenging! Going to the farmer's market is a great idea.
I just found out that one of my son's parents has brain and lung cancer..I wish I could help her. I'm going to hang out over there tomorrow. I guess my friendship is all I can offer without being too..pushy or overzealous..what would you do?
Today I ate-
magenta salad
tea and honey
amazing enchiladas with the not yet crispy corn/bell pepper chips
corn/bell pepper chips w/ avacado & pico de gallo
chocolate macadamia cheesecake
So, the verdict on the chips/tortillas is in--they are good, I can't believe I've never made anything like this before! I took a bag of frozen corn and processed it with 2 red bell peppers and one green one, then added salt and a couple shakes of ground flax--then dehydrated until it was rollable for one tray (enchiladas) and the second let it stay in for another couple of hours--very crispy and not as gummy.
Be ready for my every flavor chips and wraps, rolls and tostadas, now!
I am so grateful that I am having an easy time and finding so many new foods to love.

Ended up falling asleep at 9 last night before posting. I am finding I am dreaming more or remembering my dreams more in the morning. This morning I woke up with an image on my mind still of a crow that was multi-colored along with a song or tone that had the shape of a cube.
Does anyone else find they dream more vividly when raw? or first beginning raw? or even that you wish to hug everyone you see? :)
Yesterday I had
1/2 blender smoothie of 1 banana, assorted fruit, spinach, water, ojuice
Another collard leaf with guacamole and sprouts wrapped in it
The meat and water of a young coconut
A few cashews (I soaked these last night and this morning looked at them, they don't seem to have the little tails so I think they might not be raw) I am going to soak almonds now
2 bananas
Thick :) thank you for all the receipes you share, I was noticing the red pepper one on the Discussion forum, the sandwich one and think to make this later today. I love seeing a lot of different foods described here, they are triggers I think sometimes to what our body might like to eat.
Today I am going shopping, first to get a canvas to paint this mult-colored crow on :) I sketch and paint for fun and I have not felt like painting in a while but feel like painting this crow now! then to the grocery store to pick up veggies and fruits for next week.
Hugs to all too :)

Just smoosh the dates around the apple slices. it's a little sticky, but so tasty.
