    Default Day 2

Hi everyone! It is a glorious spring day here in Paris - blue sky, sunshine, and tweeting birds.

Made a great salad last night of watercress, frisée, mâche, grapefruit and avocado with a dressing of olive oil, lime juice, red onion, jalapeno, and cilantro. Deelish!

B: green apple, carrot, ginger, cucumber juice (1 litre) and a banana

Have a great day, and enjoy your health!

    Default day 12! =)

I don't have class until after lunchtime, but I did want to get an early start today.

I woke up, did some cardio and am drinking some green juice now. It's still a bit awkward in terms of taste for me, but it does taste better today due to more mango.

I lost some weight. Yay! I'm at 121.2 (I have a digital scale now). I definitely notice physical changes in the mirror too! My stomach is not as big, and my face is getting less and less puffy with each day.

I plan to eat some blueberries and salad later on. Eating raw is getting easier and more habitual nowadays.

Tguch: Oh my gosh! I'm so jealous of you!!!! In a good way. :) I visited Paris a couple of years ago, and I absolutely loved it! You really do live in the most beautiful city in the world.

Good morning everyone! I've got a monster green smoothie to sip on throughout the day - coconut water, spinach, grapefruit, mango and strawberries. I also have an orange and a chunk of pineapple to knaw on later, and some almonds I'm sure I'll be dipping into ;). I'm busy thinking of what foods to prepare for this weekend - I'm getting my wisdom teeth out this Friday, so I want to have lots of stuff on hand. I think I'm going to make some pate, and maybe some raw pesto and zucchini noodles. And, of course, there will be lots of green smoothies!

Hello, everyone. My husband and I are both taking the challenge this month, and so far, so good (other than me feeling like i'd die for something good and salty; we're going to find an appropriate recipe in Alissa's book and get the ingredients today, because i'm getting desperate).

The Date Nut Torte was fantastic! We were surprised that we couldn't finish it between the two of us, but it was so HEAVY!

I'm a nursing mother, so I'm wondering if there's anything extra I should be doing to make sure I'm getting enough to keep producing milk. Suggestions?

Anyway, here's to day two (and satisfying my craving for something salty).

    Good morning=)

    Today the tentative plan is--
-green smoothie w/mixed baby greens & avacado, cilantro, salt
    -guacamole taquitos
    -kale chips
-banana ice cream w/a drizzle of chocolate and pecans

Guess I'm feeling junk foody this morning=) Well, it's good for me! Nothing junky in it at all=)

I hope everyone has a good day. I know it is hard this early on. just remember that the pleasure derived from eating _____ only lasts a second, then you'll feel like crap--whereas with raw you'll feel great! Eat for the pleasure that comes after your meal, too=)

Hello Thick, glad to have you here!! I've found a lot of your posts on this forum to be very positive & helpful!! :)

The last few days I've had a hankerin for Mushies, & so yesterday I bought a few packs of Shitake's. Last night I marinated a few, in who knows what, cuz I just bought spices for the first time in my life!! Every time I've seen a recipe that I want to try I jot it down, & add the ingredients to my groceries. I don't go all out with those, they're just to help me out with idea's of what to purchase. It's Great!! Anyhow I am wondering if you'd like to share what your stuffed Mushies were?

    Thanks & Take Care <3

Well, you should get the book. While I don't care for all of the recipes, some I love=) Just like my Mom's cooking.=)

Anyway, I improvised a bit by making a pesto--

Food processor a single clove of garlic (believe me!) in olive oil then add a head of parsley, a huge box of basil (say maybe 3-4 bunches), one clove of garlic, and olive oil--all in the food processor. Then I added walnuts and salt and pulsed until it was stuffingy. The only important measurement is the garlic...you can also add spinach instead of or in addtion to the parsley.

Then snap the stems off the mushrooms ( i made with both button and baby portobellos and there was no discernible difference) then toss them with olive oil and overfill them with the pesto, then into the dehydrator until they are the way you like them. They will feel dry on the outside, but very juicy, warm and delicious on the inside. I put mine in a 9x9 pyrex casserole dish.

Thanks for your kind words, they really meant a lot to me today. Sometimes I feel like everyone on this forum hates me=) (<---INFP)

Ah I feel that, whenever someone tells me to *get the book*, I am going to a store that may carry her book on Friday. That's why I've calmed down asking questions on this site. I feel I get a good whip by a few ppl. & yet every day I read new posts on here, all of the time where other's are eager & wanting to help other's out with all of their questions!! I'm hypersensitive.

I was told by someone to not ask questions, yet that is why there is a forum!! LOL

I doubt THEY ALL hate you!! lol Keep Posting & stay Strong!! You never know whom you're affecting!! :)

Thanks for sharing YOUR Dish!! ;)

did good, lost another pound and a half since sunday..wow.

B- green smoothie, kale, spinach, berries, banana and pineapple.
    Snack- banana
L- salad, avocado half, mushrooms, applecider vinegar, forgot..banana icecream.
Snack-donut hole( raw of course..it wasn't done in the dehydrator, but had to taste it anyhow..)
Dinner-Nori rolls with spicy mango-chile sauce..hated it, so I tossed it and had the other half of avocado and 1/2 mango..one more donut hole..still not done but delish none the less..

I love this feeling of health..and it is rubbing off, I have several friends all eager to now what I am doing...a good thing indeed.
