I do not think that these all sprout at the same rate.

The flax will get sticky and gelatenous and I think that it would stifle the rest. I wonder if you could just soak them and then add them to a cracker mix without waiting for them to sprout.

I notices some white hairy mold growing on some of they're tails, being a dirty tramp didnt let this phase me and am have ate/ plan on eating them.

and also i have soaked almonds and brazils and rasins for about 3 days and have been snacking, is this ok? i think so :)...

is the mold because i didnt clean the germinator properly after the last batch?

I have bought sprout mixes which have a variety of seeds together. Some of them even had mung bean in them. I have not seen flax thrown in the mix though. I have successfully sprouted these seed mixtures. So, I would go for it.

I sprout mixtures all the time ... except they don't include flax. You'll have to report how that turns out! At the moment I have a 'nicks hot mixtues' plus alfalfa, plus fenugreek all in the same container.

I eat my sprouts at all stages ... just sprouted to all the way with tiny green leaves. They are good all along. I spinkle them in salads and on 'sandwich' rollups, throw them in smoothies, or just graze on them as is.

The "hairy mold" you sometimes see (especially in radish sprouts) is actually tiny little root hairs that spring up ... you rinse the sprouts and they lay back down.

I do all my sprouts in "easy sprout" containers. I order almost all of my seed from 'the sprout people' on line -- never had a bad batch yet.

I snack on soaked almonds frequently ... generally only soak them for about 8-10 hours or so. They may yummy snacks at movies ... mix them with goji berries, chopped dates or raisens, various seeds -- very good.

There is a yahoo group out there started by the Sprout People I think ... anyway, that is all folks talk about is sprouting. Some great information there. go to http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/sproutpeople/
    Cheers
