You're welcome Mary Kay. Was kind of funny, the first test batch of juice from the Hurom was much greener than from the greenstar. I thought .. 'what the heck'? I had forgotten that I had previously made cucumber/apple/limeade in the hurom.. and didn't rinse the juicer out. Duh.

So, I washed both juicers completely, and started over. I went through an entire bag of organic yellow delicious apples ... only used a part to watch the oxidation process so turned the rest into limeade. YUM YUM

Made me appreciate the ease of assembly and cleanup of the hurom!
    Cheers

I wouldn't be concerned with the plastic parts of the hurom, the juice is in contact with the plastic for no more than 5 seconds before exiting the machine, I'm quite sure any plastic contamination would require contact for at least hours if not days or weeks.
