    Default lifting fingernails/orange skin

I have been raw for 11 months now. Two issues are happening - first, my skin, particulary the palms of my hands and the soles of my feet are orange. My eyes are clear, which I know is good. I began to notice this around December. Second, in the last couple of weeks, my fingernails are lifing from the nailbed. There is no fungus. I have been told this could be a metabolic disorder. I feel perfectly fine. Has anyone else experienced these?

Have you tried to fill in your daily foods to one of the websites like fitday.com.
Perhaps you should have a blood test just to make sure that you do not have a deficiency.

I am leaving Tampa tomorrow for 3 weeks in the cold in Buffalo. Big change. Then back to Ireland.

Not sure about the nails, but the skin coloration could be from eating too much carotene...orange foods. Excess bilirubin (usually broken down by the liver) can cause orange skin, but may cause yellowing of the eyes, too, I think. I'd get bloodwork done.

My skin went a funny colour some time back(ORANGE/REDDY) when I was eating too much fruit, I didn't realize at the time I needed so much greens but like the last poster said, I'd get bloodwork done too. Health is priceless.
