Default Managing pain from tooth extraction

Since I went raw I have noticed there is a huge difference in how my body metabolizes pain pills. They seem to of stopped working. I plan on having 2 of my wisdom teeth removed. I have been literally biting my cheeks and gum for years. Every full moon my teeth shift b/c the wisdom teeth are coming in more and more. My question pertains to managing my pain. I have had one tooth removed, it was last year, and I spent the majority of my time vomiting up the pain pills. Even the numbing medication fades about 3-4 times faster. I am grateful b/c I know my body is ridding itself of the evil invaders, but I do need some sort of natural pain management system in place for times like this.

Thanks in advance for your advise!

not sure how you feel about hypnotherapy, bio-feedback or eft/tapping. Look at that b4 you go. I had a tremendous amt of dental work done several yrs ago did a lot of bio-feedback to get through it. The anesthetic would wear off bc I'm allergic to epi drugs so I would bf or tap to keep from getting more meds. I will say that I endured a great deal and my pain level/tolerance decreased a great deal.

I've never had to use any sort of pain relief after having teeth removed. Why are you assuming you will need anything?

Dentists just give out prescriptions and people take them thinking they'll have pain. I NEVER have.

If you do, clove oil or peppermint oil might be good. I'd probably dilute them in warm water and swish.

As Margoss said, EFT works as well. I've got it on my UStream show. Look for the pain relief vid.

Pineapple is a big-time natural anti-inflammatory. It contains the enzyme bromelain, which has been found to be more effective than many precription anti-inflammatory medications!

You will want to avoid foods like potatoes, tomatoes, and eggplants (members of the nightshade family of plants), as they can make your pain worse.

Walnuts, flax seeds, olive oil, pumpkin seeds, and brightly colored fruits should be on your TO EAT list. Oh, and broccoli sprouts, broccoli sprouts, broccoli sprouts!!!

    Good luck, hun!
