Day 5 High Raw for me:

I added salt yesterday to a smoothie, first time in a YEAR! Never Again. I don't like contending with water weight. Noticed I'd added quite a bit of fruit lately, don't want it to be a bad habit that forms. I have a sweet tooth. (can get outta control)

0 Liters of Water (of just water)
    BREAKFAST: Smoothie: 6 Cups of Spinach + 1 Cup of Broccoli + 2 Kiwi’s + 1 Banana + 40g of Dates + 1 Cup of Water + 1 Cup of Ice
    SNACK: 1 Grape Fruit
    LUNCH: Smoothie: 2 Apples + 1 Cup of Cukes + 3 Cups of Spinach + 1 Cup of Broccoli + 1/2 Banana + 1 Cup of Ice + 2 Cups of Water
    SNACK: 1 Navel Orange
SUPPER: Salad: 6 Cups of Spinach + 2 Cups of Cauliflower + 1 Cup of Cucumbers + 3 Cups of Romaine Lettuce
    SNACK: none

I'm trying to be 100% raw today:

Breakfast: Salad (iceberg lettuce, 2 cherry tomatoes, several red grapes, 2 carrots)

Lunch: Naked bar, salad (iceberg lettuce, 2 cherry tomatoes, several red grapes, 2 carrots), pineapple-peach smoothie

Snack: 2 Frutina "fruit snacks" (apple + strawberry, apple + apricot)

And I've got raw ice cream in the freezer hoping it works for later on :)

^ RawNItOut, can I ask why you described your day as "high raw" when you ate 100% raw?

I don't consider it 100% because none of it is organic. The Water is plain tap, I don't have a filter yet, & I don't plan on buying bottled any time soon. I don't want to be too finicky though. I'd like to gradually work my way up. :)

What kind of Ice Cream are you going to have? :)

    Ooh well I don't eat anything organic either... I suppose I'm not 100% as I thought! :P

Well I've never successfully made ice cream before but today I food-processed about 4 bananas and stirred in some cacao nibs and some dessicated coconut so we'll see how that comes out

Do you think I've ate quite low fat today based on what I've posted so far?

I came across an old thread though yesterday that was talking just about what high raw really is. It doesn't seem to really matter. As long as you're (general terms) are eating raw. THAN PERIOD.

I think it's really subjective for each of us. What does Raw mean to me, what does raw mean to you..& so on. For someone to think I am already at 100%, thank you, that is a compliment. :)

I can't seem to find that thread as I was trying to research something else at the time. This is the only thing I've come across:

    http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthrea...ght=Percentage

Mmm Sounds SPLENDID!! I've only blended a frozen banana, & called it ice cream, I can't wait to try out some added carob or niblets too!! :)

No need to worry about Fat, unless you're consuming LARGE amounts of Avocado, Nut's, Olives &, Olive Oil ect Every Day. Yes they're good for you (our Healthy fats), but most things are, moderation is key. :)

If you'd like you could switch your ice berg lettuce later on, for some Romaine Lettuce Leafs. The leafs are higher in nutrients due to the darker green. :)

    Default Hard Raw Day

Today has been horrible, it's like I have a sign on me that says kick me. I work phones all day (not telemarketing just customer service/help desk) and every single person I have spoken to today has just been rude!! I feel like I am in the twilight zone usually I get along great and can always build a repoire on the phone but not today! I am proud to say that the old me would be eating bad to compensate for the hurt feelings and probably crying a lot more than I did (I did tear up, but they didn't drop). So I am impressed with my new ability to stay more grounded and not run to the kitchen to punish myself. I really feel I am actually making some mental changes in this process and have noticed today for the first tme really in my life I looked at my awesome salad at lunch and thought "this is going to give me so much energy" vs "these cheese fries taste good." It is a huge shift for me to look at a plate of food and be excited about the nutrition I am about to feed my body. Even though it's been a bad day I am very thankful and excited to be raw and feel I am really making some life changes.
