    Default 3 Day Walk

Hi, I'm doing a 3-day/60 mile walk in October and I'm wondering what I should do for food....any tips or ideas? I did it a couple of years ago but was just vegetarian. They provide all the food, but there are only a few raw items. I plan on coming home at night (instead of camping out with the rest of the walkers) so I can make dinner and then have breakfast. Also, gatorade substitute? The reccomend water AND a gatorade "type" drink. Thanks for any info! I was thinking Lara bars....dried fruit...I could probably carry an avocado in my backpack..:) I'm not really into carrying a bunch of stuff for 20 miles a day! :)
It seems that things are more like me now, that I can see farther into paintings. ~Rilke

I would think a "trail mix" type of thing would be good too, some raw nuts, dried fruits etc.

I did the 3 Day in 1999 and 2000 and thought it was the most amazing experience. If you need any support, gimme a PM!

A big walk like that reminds me of "Raw Family" a book by the Boutenkos. They seemed to eat a lot of wild greens. But you have to know your wild foods to do that . :)
St. Jerome was a vegetarian saint from way back. He was the first person to translate the bible into Latin (from Greek and Hebrew).
