Wow, I'm feeling good! It's almost unbelievable to me to attribute this to raw, BUT after weeks of feeling like shit.....this can't be coincidence. I'm not feeling sluggish and weak. I feel very rested!

Anyway, I'm munching on lots of fruit today. 2 bananas so far. And a green smoothie.

I'll probably be having some celery and cauliflower for snack.

Dinner is going to be a repeat of last night, because it was so darn good! Stuffed mushrooms and a salad. I'm going to make a bowl of apple cobbler for dessert.
Taking it one day at a time. :D

Default on a snowy day three in ny

Today will be mostly granny smith apples, which seems appropriate for this latest blast of winter.

Maybe some bananas if I can find some that are ripe.

Dinner will be a green smoothie: Kale, frozen berries, orange
    natural peace. be the change.

Hey guys! Plugging away into day three . . . I've had a delicious green smoothie of spinach, bananas, mango, strawberries plus coconut and chia seeds. For lunch I've got a salad with sprouts, more smoothie in the fridge for later, and I've also got some teriyaki almonds I made (so good!) and pate and flax crackers to munch on throughout the day. My eyes have been gunky the past few days, which I remember from my last 30 day challenge too. Cleaning my system out, yay!

Gotta love when you finish your post and hit the wrong button and post disappears!

I missed posting for Day 2 but I was all raw!

Today: green smoothie (bananas/orange/chard), big salad for lunch. I made a green smoothie for mid-morning but it was rather nasty (apple/grapes/chard/beet greens and half an avocado pit). I'm not sure why it was so bitter because I've had all the ingredients before. Perhaps the seed was bad. I do hate wasting smoothies so I'll probably chug it anyway this afternoon before getting off work at 5. If I'm not too full I may have another salad this eve.

    Default Day 3!!

Wow I woke up this morning and felt great!
    B - small smoothie - 1/2 tangarine, 1/2 plum, 1/2 apple, lettuce, ice, vitamins
    S - apple
    L - orange
S - apple, sm. bag pretzels (not raw)
D - garden salad with balsalmic vinager and olive oil and .5 ounces chicken (not raw), piece of a roll
S - grapes a few, almonds a handful - large, raisins, 2 pieces fat free cheese, water

I started to eat the chicken and piece of roll and I was like, I do not want this and stopped. The pretzels I ate b/c i was hungry and that's what was at my job. I am going to buy some carrots and leave them at work. The cheese, well, I don't know why I ate that. I am proud of myself though because I am eating a million times better than previous months : ) Minor bumps, I feel like I am going to do this!

I was so dehydrated from spending yesterday in the city core looking around at job centres. I usually only go down town two or three times a year, and only in passing. You would not believe how many smokers and pollution there is stuffed in one area. My skin felt so disgusting, all cracked and dry, face is horribly puffed out (I always react badly to cigarette smoke :/). So today was a juicy, juicy day full of moisture!

I didn't have my usual three meals, it was more like breaky, then grazing from 4pm to 8pm. Two HUGE orders to put out at work today, I never break a sweat at work but I was soaked. 7 hours of non-stop lifting and heaving, running and pushing. So I built up a nice appetite!

    Breaky: Ten nanners

"Lunch to Dinner": Five more nanners, eleven cups of dark grapes, three large oranges, one very large head of romaine leaf by leaf, and two of the largest honey dew melons I've ever laid eyes on.

About 5 litres of pure water as well during work and after a walk. Can you tell water was my goal for the day? haha

I feel much better now, face is still puffed but I'm hoping that overnight the fruit's water will settle it down somewhat at least (interview in the AM!).

Everyone else is doing very well!

    Keep on going everyone!

First off, let me say that it seems like I eat a lot compared to many of you!

    B: Kombucha, banana
S: Romaine cups with guacamole, salsa, cilantro, and chile
L: Large herbal salad (baby greens, spinach, romaine, basil, cilantro) with thinly-sliced carrot, chopped celery, snow peas, radish, and cucumber. Dressed with citrus-ginger dressing
S: Raw Chocolate (new recipe) and Tropical Cookies (new recipe)
D: Rest of salad from lunch
S: Green smoothie loaded with greens, liquid stevia, lime
After workout: juiced basil, celery, cilantro, cucumber, romaine, salt.

Raw Chocolate (tempers beautifully, does not melt at room temp)

1/2 C raw cacao butter, shaved and melted in hot water
1/2 C plus 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
    about 20-30 drops liquid stevia
1 tsp alcohol-free vanilla extract or 1/2 vanilla bean
    Optional dash cinnamon, cayenne, salt.

Tropical Cookies (Raw version of Larabar Tropical Fruit Tart)

4 rings dried pineapple, cut into smallish pieces. If very firm, soak for 5-10 min beforehand.
1 C soaked almonds, not dried --> (added perk)
    3/4 C raisins
5-6 dates, I prefer Deglet Noor
Zest of 1/2 large orange (absolutely MUST be unwaxed, organic)
    1/4 C dried coconut
    1 tbsp coconut butter
2 Passionfruits (optional), if unavailable, use juice of 1/2 lime
    Dash vanilla
    Pinch salt

Process ingredients in food processor, then use a small (2 tbsp) ice cream scoop to make compacted balls of dough
Place these on a cookie sheet, freeze to set, then store either in fridge or freezer.

I would also add dried papaya, if I had it, but I didn't pick any up last time I went to my local co-op. I would also consider upping the pineapple and using fewer dates, but I only had 4 rings of dried pineapple left. This was a kind-of play-it-by-ear thing that just worked.

I've had a rough couple of days, emotionally. But eating well seems to be keeping me positive. I also had an 11 hour day at school today, and I was happy when I didn't end up feeling sluggish after lunch! I felt wide awake and full of energy.

B: banana mango smoothie (also squeezed a little orange in there)
L: key lime lara bar and AN ENTIRE TUB OF ARUGALA with ACV, olive oil and a touch of agave (this was seriously the best part of my day. it made me feel so good! and all my classmates thought it was really cute that i just plowed through a tub of leaves)
D: avocado with shoyu, lara bar
